There is a difference between oral and written English. Reno, I'm sure, can speak English. However, his written English has annoyed many posters between bad spellings, grammar and punctuation. I'm sure there are night classes for him to help overcome his weaknesses, but it is up to Reno to avail of such opportunities. We cannot force him to undertake such assignments.
Listen Pal,
I think I have had enough of your correction, your beginning to sound like an old record.
I will decide whether or not I need to attend Grammar School. I don't need your smart comments or anyone else. If you can't pick the bones out what I said, then just move on.
We all may not have had the same luxury's that you and some of your smart colleague's. But you seem to lack respect for those of us who don't measures
up, to what you seem to think the required standard of education is.
Wake up and smell the roses, some day it might be one of your own, who doesn't spell as well or the Grammar may not be what it should be.
finally just stick to the football, even I doubt you kick a ball in anger.
I would think there is little happening around Westport, that you would not know.
I have a wager that you do know who is the Manager of Swinford.
Do you not read your own local news rag then? It was on the sport's page under Chelsea column. By Donal Benson.
So rather than pretend you don't know, come out and wish him well, or is that below you.
Ps, hope the spelling and the grammar meets your required standard?
celtic goin well in all con and fai well done
how many times have we lost this link too soccer talk over nonense being typed on it ? will ye please get back to football matters.thunder you know well who swinford manager is id say you were one of first to know.you also know that westport are now trying to get him back to manage b team.so drop it please
Well said terrier, one can get fed up up of reading the crap that can appear.
Well for the the record.
Its John the peddler Moran who has taken charge of Swinford. He put his case forward for the Westport Manager job, ignored. then turn arround and offered him the Cjob.Goes to show how little respect they had for one of there own. who was willing to do the job without cost.
He was one of three people who applied for the vacancy of Manager of Swinford. With out doubt having impressed on the three interviewees, was given the post, just for the record there is no monies involved. He doing it out of the love of the game.
Its a sad day when Westport people who write on this site, can't come on here and wish him the best of luck. Only to pass sly comment
I am glad you brought that up,I can only say that he left his mark in Ballyheane (raw talent)
He prepared the team for start of the season, gave them self believe that they could go on win. Which they did. And are in the last 8 of Connaught Cup. Which I share was his contribution.
However it appeared that I had more faith in him than his beloved Westport. His reasons for leaving were Personal and were in no way had anything to do with me or Ballyheane A.F.C. He Has now decided to come back to manage Swinford.
All I can add is to wish him the best, which seems more than you and your co-horts can do.
Swinford might like to give there contribution to this debate, I have learned that he John Moran, has left Swinford as he could not agree with one of its senior officials, after a week of discussions. Having had 17 -19 players training, only 6 of them were A team players. its appears he the senior official wanted a (B team) Quote Can't coach no players!
He now left his post with regret, to take up his new post with his beloved Westport B. As Dave Lyons. Who led them to a Premier Title last season has decided to step down for personnel Reasons. We wish him well.
hopefully he might last a little longer there.the port might get a fortnight out of him ;) ah no best of luck to him with the b team in westport.although he was also manager of the westport first team a good few years back and he only lasted a few weeks at the helm-don't know his reasons for leaving but surely there seems to be a distinct trend here?
[QUOTE=Leveller;879275]I would say the offer of the B Team job was the reason why he left.
Sorry to say no.:p
I had the first interview with him and I have brought it to you. As the reasons why he left.
I always say they are two sides of the story, hoping that Swinford F.C. will give there side.Which I have asked. The longer it takes we can assume the version of John's holds strong.
My own opinion which I did not give would be he seems to have a problem holding down the job long enough. However he could prove us wrong. I would hope he would.:ball:
he was only in caretaker role with a team.utd went for galway man rest is history.he left ballyheane u16 because he had taste for junior management.he had no dispute with senior offical just didnt have players to work with at swinford(dont be twisting things reno)westport approached him to manage b team swinford couldnt get players out so he left and to date has not taken westport job.facts !!!
Has the over 35's been put to bed for this season?
danny broderick any use? :ball:
When a coach agrees to take up a managerial position they generally would know what the team they are going to manage is like, and make
the decision to manage them on its merits.
If this gentleman had been attending the matches of his hometown club (i.e. in the Junior Cup this), or read the match reports, he would realise how weak the team are.
His decision making in this regard to management is willy nilly and of one acting on a whim. Here today gone tomorrow.....
If he mants to make it with his home town club, he should start with the youth (and stick at it) and work his way up through the ranks...
He wants the glory without the graft.
He has accepted the position, the story has been doing the rounds for a week in the port.
never in my life have i heard such rubbish, easy to know you are not involved with club.maybe one of the junior cup bandwagon clingers on.he has coached all levels at under age spanning back 12 years.are you saying westport are weak or swinford ive got lost in your mumbling.you really havent a clue and should think before you start pushing buttons:mad:
More like intermittently over 12 years.
I have not seen you at any of the matches over the summer, and if you were, you were hiding in the ball bag. You are one of the disgruntled WU supporter/former player who only goes to matches when a managerial vacancy comes up.
It is you that does not have a clue. If you were attending the matches you would know that Westport beat swinford in the junior cup last 7 – 1, and took off two of their strikers after they scored 5, and then scored a further two, it is obvious who is weaker, but you wouldn’t know
I don’t know why you are speaking about yourself in the third person, it was your lack of judgement which made you take the swinford job. I hope you stay longer with Westport, you will have a tough season with four or five teams fighting it out.
I hope you stick it out and don’t walk when the going gets tough. People are expecting you to walk.
Good! to see John is in demand, good coaches are hard to come by. But you owe it to yourself, for once to prove your critics wrong, I for one thinks the jury is out on you, John prove all those who think you can't , that you can give a commitment to the players first then the club. Game on!!
