Phew,
Magicme, I know how you feel but we needed that one. Spirits were down and that A Championship is on the horizion
Boys in Pink take another 3 points from KCP
Feel sorrrry for Cobh they havent had the luck with the fixtures this year, 2 visits to Ballybofey and 2 visits to derry, while cork only have 1 of each away, derry have had to play away to 4 out of the top 5 twice this year, Pats, Bohs, Cork, and Shamrock Rovers all away from home twice. Next year everyone will play each other twice which makes it fairer unlike the current format which is a joke
Protest at the cross after the game &seems still there.
Should be on TV3 later.
Great to see that result tonight, such an inexperienced team getting an away win will do them the world of good.
Don't think the A championship is any danger this year as none of the new teams look like finishing in the top 4 in their leagues. Still it's be nice to keep off the bottom.
Shocking decision - again - by the officials that led to Murphy's sending off. He was clearly fouled by Davoren, play waved on, he argued with ref who showed him second yellow, followed by red. That said, he should have known better to shut it as he was on yellow.
Makes next week interesting, aren't Bohs playing Pats? They'll be without Murphy and o'Donnell
Drogheda 1-1 Rovers
Thiam equalised in the last 5 minutes.
M'eh.
Some people like to play UCD 6 times a season, as they will if they get them in the cups. :confused:Quote:

delighted with result last night
it was a great performance from such a group of young guys average age of team was 20
Bohs have the league lads. They are heads and shoulders a class above everyone else. Worrying thing is by this time next month they will be gone the way of Cork except their debt will be astronomical betwee €3.5m and €5m.
The league as it stands is finished and unless the FAI and all clubs take realistic steps to sort it out i can see at least 5/7 clubs going to the wall and that includes us.
Under the 65% rule if Bohs are spending 50K on wages then they are also taking in at least 17,500 a week to cover non wage costs.
They should be turning a profit with that 17.5K a week :)
Watched the Harps Cobh game last week. It was a fairly decent game but I felt sorry for Harps, they threw the game away. They're just lucky that UCD lost.
Lads, you need to provide a source for assertions like the above or retract them. I'll delete your posts this evening unless this request is acted on.

Athlone Town vs Limerick 37
Match abandoned due to waterlogged pitch and safety reasons
I wouldn't pay too much heed to Mervue's A win over Derry, it was a very young Derry side from what I hear, and it was Mervue's first win in 5, they are still second or third bottom in their section. But to clear something else up, you bet they want to play First Division, as well as Salthill Devon
