Don't think Foo Fighters would do it as a headline act. They'd need a decent support bill. Did they sell out Marley Park last year? They supported the Chilis in Slane a few years ago and it was probably the worst I've seen them play live.Quote:

I think you're talking the likes of U2, Rolling Stones, Springsteen, and maybe still Oasis as a one off Irish date. AC/DC & GNR might be just an age thing tbh - not sure they'll be hitting the right demographic that'll be arsed to go to Slane.
With other festival and gig options post the whole planning permission issue thing being sorted Slane isn't able to rely on the 15-18 year olds that would go regardless of who was on just for the event and the chance to get drunk in a more populated field than they usually do.
