It's Tommie Gorman.

also Adrian Eames of RTE is a big Rovers fan - Stephen kenny was giving him some fierce strange looks in the press box during their radio commentary as Adrian was waxing lyrical about the home side on friday night last against Drogheda.

Dermot Mannion, Aer Lingus CEO is a verified Rovers supporter.

I presume the Galway boys will lay claim to Padraig O Ceidigh (sic) of Aer Arann.

The late Frazer Brown seems to be generally acknowledged as Sligo's best known fan.

In Dundalk, Mary McGelligot was a legend when I was growing up. She'd send shivers down the spines of manies a referee as she shrieked from her place in the stand. Vincy Cranny as well - he sat on the sidelines with the red cross people and had to be restrained more than once from chasing after players with his walking stick..

He probably did, I remember a few Rovers fans saying that he was a Rovers fans on here before.

However he mentioned many times on his radio programme that he was a UCD supporter.

Anytime you ever read about him and it mentions his interests it's mentioned he supported UCD. Sure even a young Pineapple Stu used to go watch Shamrock Rovers.

I knew Dermot. He lived a couple of doors down. Deffo a UCD fan. The ground was approx 500 yrds from where we lived,Milltown was 3 miles further away

Aslan's rythmn guitarist/harmonica player & backin vocalist Billy McGuinness is a Shelbourne fan I belive.
The band played a gig for them in Aug 2007 where all the proceeds went to the club... :cool: :ball:

And some of us Rovers fans even went to see UCD during our "we'll never go to Tolka" days. During one of these sunday outings I did see Dermot Morgan, but I think it was a UCD v Rovers match which doesn't really help.

I met a journo from the Philadelphia Inquirer a few years back who is a huge Finn Harps fan. At that time he was travelling over to watch 3 or 4 matches a year. The funny thing was he was Polish American and had no Irish blood.
