Sorry but that was the Douglas hall intermediate team that beat Cobh last year.Douglas hall have 3 teams juinor intermediate and senior.I am not trying to take anything away from a great result for the manor lads just pointing out a fact.It was a great result and i hope they could go on and win it.It would be great for the Sligo Leitrim league!

Has this match been confirmed your end yet. It doesn't appear on the confirmed friendly fixture list I received but I did check with committee and it was confirmed by them as on.

For anyone travelling to the game tomorrow night:

Approaching Athlone on the Roscommon Road (N61), join the Dual Carriageway at Ganly Roundabout, bound for Dublin. Leave Dual Carriageway two exits later (No.4). Turn right on leaving Dual Carriageway. Take first exit off Athlone RSC Roundabout (100 yards). Continue on this road until you see Athlone Town Stadium on your right.

Rovers v Athlone (the rematch)

Heard from 2 Athlone players on Saturday that we're playing them in another friendly in 2 weeks time. The rematch is in Sligo but not sure what day yet
