taht would be about right but im sure the players dont get paid every week of the year wasnt city and longfords orignal complaint about the delay of the cup final that they had to pay their players for an extra 3 weeks.....?

No. Well not for us. Our players are fully professional and are paid all year round.

It would have had an impact on Longford though. The no game for three weeks was our problem.

that seems a fairly hefty burden, to pay players for all the time they spend sitting around for the next 2 months... me reckons even if every player was on a grand on average that'd be say 15 k a week at most x 4 weeks x 2 months = 120,000 just to pay players in the off season.

Average wouldn't be a grand.

Theres not much choice though. These players are professional. You cant ask them to find another job for a month or two. This is their living. Theyl be back in preseason the middle of january so Its only just over a month really. And during that they'l be going to schools with the trophy etc and doing pr work.

granted all the school work and trophy work is alot of time... would the average wage not be a grand???? it wouldnt be worth while for any professional to play for less than a grand per week imo as its such a short career espicially in the LOI where some clubs are semi pro....

Most of our team would be under a grand.

Only Healy Farrelly, Gamble, Murray and John O Flynn would be over it Id say. Maybe Hoggy but I doubt it.

fair enough but id say your avarage wage bill must be 15 a week? what with fringe players getting paid.. and do you guys still pay your 21's? well fairly generous allowances.

Not practicing. Finished college last year.

Has it behind him for when he's finished with football though

well thats the info that was released, so thats what i follow, i didnt see lennox on the street to ask him, it wasnt a rourmour or hearsay it was plastered all over the papers,

**** Cork City i mean that in the nicest way possible not trying to **** stir delighted they won the cup and all, but cant see why were now talking bout there finances and so on. Thread about hendo gettin the job, prob not going to happen being honest.

no, it more than likely was exaggerated, but, as said i was talkin **** so all i said is that i read it on a few papers, to correct the fact i wasnt makein up numbers in my head (im only stateing what i know, how accurate its is has notin to do with me, i dont have offical figures so i am unable to state them), thats a bad sign they werent relased, it means the club can hold back on investment, instead of puttin it into the first team where it should go,

and hendo wouldnt go to city on a fit, ye already have our last manager up there, and ye can keep him, we dont want him back,

give hendo another 3 years, and we will either be full-time, or one of the better part-time clubs,

It was a childish remark and for that i make no opoligise and if you dont like it tough,you used it once which was enough,and just because you have posted on the forum before the rest of the new signings doesnt make your word the law,so i think if anyone needs to grow up its probably you and let the new signings have there say or would you prefer to keep it amongst 3 or 4 of ye wouldnt surprise me if ye are all buddies or were in the same class at school?
