You're presuming Cork or Rovers will win all their remaining games...
i think it'll be drogs to win, mainly cos all the teams at the top will take points off each other between now and the end of the season
this w/e the top6 play each other and in 2 weeks the top4 do
cant see anyone going unbeaten between now and end of season and thats what pats/rovers/cork need to do
Cork are in the best form out of any team in the league. Given that and the team they have they are the best placed team to put pressure Drogs. It's not inconceivable that they could drop 10 points from Rovers, Cork, Waterford and Pats, although I doubt that they will.
Sorry; thought you'd been around to understand that was a parody of the usual Drog response to any sort of criticism.
Always one. Thanks ndrog. Maybe think before you type next time; it'd make a change.
Corkies hav you accepted the fact yet. Champions Champions Champions, Super Drogs :):)
Overall I think we were worth the three points. Certainly had the bulk of the chances though it looked like poor finishing was going to cost us. That said, Sligo could have easily have won it. Very good ten minute spell in the second half forced a couple of really good saves from Connor - one of them absolute class. Not to mention another quality save in the first half. I think if we play like that (well aside from the finishing) from now to the end, we will definitely win it. Still not counting any chickens yet though;)
The remarkable thing about our season for me is that despite being joint top scorers in the league, our own highest individual scorer still has only seven goals!
might be being slighly bias but thought we were worth a point. we defended brilliantly all night really, just the one time no body picked up their man, drogs scored. well done anyway
How can it not have changed things?!
Regardless of the games you mentioned, Drogs still needed to slip up elsewhere and Rovers/Pat's needed to keep winning. Neither's happened. If Drogs were 1/5 before the weekend to win the league, they're 1/50 now.
Bit premature yet?
Drogs will win it but without Gavins goal it would very close especially IF Drogs were to lose to Rovers next week. Best team always finishes top so I would not take from Drogs.
You may call me bitter but IMO Drogs are poorest side this year to win the league in at least 6-7 years because of very poor league this season. I never liked Shels could was able to admit they better team.
He didn't ask you to call him bitter...
Drogs didn't deserve to win last night, a draw would have been fair. Our own fault though for not defending right, at the end.
:eek:he,he pete!apparantley his burd rang for him and said he had to go to hospital
they were told he was in casualty yesterday anyway
i want photographic evidence!
Its fair to say drogs will win the lge, but they will do so as the most un-attractive side to win it, since (and this def proves i`m not bitter) US in 95 !!(now that was a bad side, then again it was also a very poor league in 94/95)
the 1,700 drogs fans may as well put the champers on ice, enjoy it while it lasts lads
There was a lot of money put on drogs on the ladbrokes uk site, as they clearly didnt realise drogs were favs this side of the sea
Re your comment on style of play - dead right - who cares if you dont play good football - if you get the moat points your champions, simple as.
Re drogs domination ? i`m not so sure about that, the likes of cork, pats, bohs and maybe derry will all look to challenge a lot better next season, maybe rovers too.
i got 6/1 on william hill
