Ah now I'm not the only one around here that outweighs Mr Jackson. This is an internet forum after all, there's not likely to be too many lightweights.

The best fighter in the world Anderson Silva moved up to light heavyweight(205) the other night and knocked out James Irvin in 61 seconds. No one can compete with him at 185,id love to see him fight some of the bigger names at 205.He said he's going to move between the different weights.
UFC 87 is on the 9th of Augest and theres some big fights
Georges St-Pierre Vs. Jon Fitch
Brock Lesnar Vs. Heath Herring
Kenny Florian Vs. Roger Huerta
And Cheick Kongo is fighting some nobody
Feckin Setanta got the TV rights and I don't have the Setanta premium package. I was just starting to really get into it on Bravo, watched the full series of The Ultimate Fighter, was starting to appreciate the different skills involved and then the rights go to Setanta!
Anybody see Fedor's destruction of of Tim Sylvia in Affliction? (this gimmick won't last)
The talk is that Fedor and Randy are going to get it on and thats what Affliction are going to try and market their circus on, that and Tito might show up in it
UFC 87 was crazy,GSP comfortablely beat Fitch and it looks like BJ Penn is going to step up to 170 to fight GSP.Delighted for Brock Lesnar aswell.
After football MMA is the best sport in the world, its action packed and so intense and it does not get enough recognition over here
Double post
I watched some of it last night and enjoyed it. Lesnar was a beast but the fight I most enjoyed was the Kenny Florian one. Fantastic tachnical display from him. Huerta is one tough cookie, no wonder he didn't want to get into a brawl with him.
Lesnar v. Couture, 15th November
Should be lively :D
Could not belive it til I seen it

It gets better

Since Couture's departure from the UFC last October, the company crowned an interim Heavyweight champion, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Nogueira will defend his interim title against Frank Mir at UFC's December show. The winners of Couture-Lesnar and Nogueira-Mir will then square off next spring to determine the undisputed UFC Heavyweight champion.
Class,I really like Lesnar but he dosent deserve a title shot.Nogueira and Kongo and the 2 best heavyweights imo.
have you seen him slammed on his head against randleman? check about 49 secs into this clip. fedor rolls over a minute later and submits him!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q34KGpiuB8
as an aside, i think pride is a little tougher than ufc. better organization anyway, bigger crowds and i think the rules are more lenient too, you can kick/knee on the ground etc. and they have open weight grand prixs!
p.s. for the affliction fedor/sylvia fight, try here:
http://blog.ronin5.com/affliction-ba...ia-video-clip/
Thats a pretty crazy slam, even crazier recovery.
Ive read something about a PRIDE/UFC merge.I think this can only be bad.I went to event schedule on the PRIDE website and its all UFC events.Ive never seen a PRIDE event, just clips on the net.All that ive seen of Fedor is great,he has fought some freaks like Hong Man Choi and zuluzinho
ugh i haven't read about the merger! i'd rather they stay separate too, it gives each other competition. fedor's ridiculous, he'll fight anything. i've only seen him seriously challenged once (krokop) and in that fight he simply comfortable and dominating. silva is a terrific fighter too though, this is the same guy that destroyed that american fella with the brutal knee attacks right?
All his UFC fights have been against Amercians, finished all his fights by the 2nd round,5 knock-outs 2 submissions
His last loss was pretty special http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=267i7rKeECA
I've not heard of this Fedor fella until you guys mentioned him as I'm a UFC only viewer, but I looked him up on youtube, and holy christ, he's an animal..
Who saw Rashad Evans knock the Ice man Chuck Liddell the **** out???
http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=iG9Yy1OHjM4
The best angle was from behind Chuck, such a hit
Time to hang up the gloves for the legend Chuck..
Some hit.
I'm after getting in to UFC in recent months and I have to say it's brilliant.
As fans of UFC, who in your opinions is the best pound for pound fighter right now? Just in UFC, now not worldwide. I'd have to go for George St Pierre. I think the guy has got everything. Punch Power, Leg Strikes, Ground and Pound, and of course Ju Jitsu. He's the complete fighter and his loss to Matt Serra was just a blip. Which he rectified. Here's my top 5 UFC PFP:
1:George St Pierre
2:Anderson Silva
3:Rashad Evans
4:Bj Penn
5:Rich Franklin
1:Anderson Silva
2:George St Pierre
3:BJ Penn
Cheick Kongo is on his way
Evan Tanner 1971-2008:(

1. Anderson Silva
2. St Pierre
3. Forrest Griffin
4. Rich Franklin
5. Nogueira
Hopefully somebody will get the Howard Cosell reference in the title of this post. More importantly Kimbo Slice lost to a complete nobody (Shamrock pulled out injured) in just 14 seconds!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjpoj66bpYM
Somewhat shatters the myth. Could also be the end of the Elite XC promotion, they've burned $58 million according to a report on Yahoo and Slice was their meal ticket.
Yahoo report: http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgns
Still despite this I doubt Dana White in UFC is too pleased, he'll probably reckon he could have done more with Slice (whose value to MMA will diminish substantially following this defeat) and would rather Kimbo had remained undefeated through his Elite XC contract so he could hae made something out of him later on.

Since it looks like EliteXC is now finished i do think Dana would love to take Kimbo who still does have a little value!
Then Dana should put him up against Lesnar to get his head ripped off!]
I think White is taking a calculated risk with Lesnar in his next fight. One would expect Lesnar to, at worst, look decent in this fight. A bad defeat, albeit unlikely, would not be good for him at this stage in his career.
Were Lesnar to win however I think it would take a huge pay-cheque to get him to consider taking on Slice. Were he to win, Lesnar would consider Kimbo a big step down and would expect to be compensated accordingly. Still I reckon White would have no problem stumping up the cash, Lesnar-Slice still have substantial PPV value.
Anybody catch Silva and Cote last night. Disppointting ending with Cote being the first person to get to the 3rd round with Silva, only yo have to retire with a bum knee. I thught it was gonna be a great last 3 rounds, unfortunate for Cote.
Alves-Koscheck was a good'un as was Sean Sherk and Tyson Griffin.
Next up Couture/Lesnar, nov 15th, then ufc92 is a freeking great line up on Dec 27th. Rampage/Wanderlei Silva, Forrest Griffin/Rashad Evans and Frank Mir/Nogueira.
Then the Irish invasion in Dublin. Rich Franklin and DanHenderson should be a great fight. Anybody going January 17th?
nah no way, Sherk easily had him. His experience showed landing with the more punches and controlling the fight
yeah it was a freeking awful crowd. They were booing everything. Freeking Chicagoans.
So anyone going to the Dublin show?
