It's come up a couple of times. I got shouted down years ago as did LTID in more recent times I think. I wouldn't be overly keen on it myself anymore tbh, maybe for something unofficial...Quote:

At the risk of being tarnished as anti-Sligo, I have never heard anyone speak the words "Bit O'Red"; I have been to many games in Sligo and know a few of their fans. However, it is totally unique and unmistakeable. Can we modernise it and call them the Red Bits from here on?

I like our nickname it's original. I thought Dundalk's was the "Lilywhites" which one is their official nickname Railwaymen or Lilywhites? Galway Utds is just a cheap rip off from the gah trying to jump on the bandwagon and don't get me started with the Gaillimh in their crest :rolleyes:
