I used to bump into Ming the Merciless at a lot of Sligo Rovers games before he left Castlerea for Galway. Since then I've heard he's been seen in Terryland a few times - terrible what getting into drugs can do to you. :D

That is what the row between the Harps and Derry fans - both were in denial :)
She hasn't been seen at either ground since her need for votes diminished with her political career. Her daughter is some bit of stuff though :D
Ken Loach, director of The wind that shakes the barley and many other films is a Cork City fan as is Des Bishop.
Isn't Ardal O'Hanlon a Shels fan?
Dermot Ahern is a Dundalk fan, though I wouldn't really call him a celebrity. Then of course there is Stan but I've only ever seen him at one Dundalk game.
Pushing it a bit now but actor Adrian Dunbar is seemingly a Waterford fan. He was supposed to be getting his mate Neil Morrissey to put a few bob into the club a few years ago but AFAIK nothing came of it.
You sure about that?:DIn fairness, he's not "well known" outside of Sligo.
weve got Ainé ;)
lol
Meanwhile here at Rovers, we have a well-known deceased religious luminary as a fully paid up member.
I'll bet none of you can top that!
Phil Coulter is definitely a Derry city fan, i know his sons well who funnily enough support bray!
No he's not. He's a Leeds fan, I think. If he were an eL fan, it'd be Monaghan United (his home county team). Unless his days in 'Rock have gotten to him...
Jimmy Magee lives in Kilmacud and is a regular at Belfield Park.
Damien Duff's agent is Pat Devlin, which probably explains why he's at so many Bray games. He was at UCD games on occasion to watch Robbie Doyle, one of his best mates from his time at Blackburn, and presumably watched him at Bohs, Bray, Pat's, etc.
He's Hoop though. Like Dermot Morgan who also attended Milltown on a regular basis and moved to Belfield for his live football fix.
Fintan - You should get someone to outline the basics of company law to you. Maybe Finian McGrath could ask the Minister of Finance to explain it to you. :D
KOH
Robert de Niro is a Wexford Youths fan and has been to every home and away game for 17 and a half seasons
From Ardal O'Hanlon's wikipedia page:
"He is a massive football fan, and is a proud supporter of the 2006 European champions F.C. Barcelona, as well as English side Leeds United and Scottish champions Celtic FC as well as the Irish national side."
What a hussy
Seen Des Bishop in the Cork city seaction in Dalymount and also George(from your a star) at Dalymount.
The guy who won the box is a big dundalk fan .
Con Murphy is a Shamrock Rovers fan - and used to operate the PA at the RDS many years ago
Willie Walsh (CEO of British Airways) is a Bohs fan
Premiership referee Dermot Gallagher is also a Shamrock Rovers fan
This thread comes up like clock-workevery 6mths or so now, and always seems to descend to hear-say (no - not the banned) and the usual 'so-and-so was once seen at our ground or is from our town, so therefore must be a supporter of Team X....'
Besides - we all know there's only 2 types of famous football fans in the world anyway. Those who support Derry City, and those who wish they did...... :D
I'll ask Magee next time I'm talking to him so. Helping out at the KRAM stuff doesn't make you a hoop necessarily. CTID here had Morgan lined up for a regular programme piece shortly before he died, I think. Would have loved to see what he thought of the fanzine!
