Oooh, I'd take that! Not that I'm still sore about the Cup final or anything, oh no, not in the least...
There used to be a President's Cup donkey's years ago where the League winners would play the Cup winners. With the Setanta in progress, it wouldn't make sense to revive it, but having that as the first fixture of the season should be a good crowd-puller.
I know Derry didn't win the League and we didn't win the Cup but in the absence of Shels (whether complete or just as a Premier team), it'd be as close as we could get.
Duno how true it is, mind - I think it's the basis for the Pat's radio ad being made. So it could just as easily be your second game, but your first home game.
Its a farce
I wish they would hurry up so I can plan my summer holidays
GUFC's 1st 2 Games.
Sligo(home)
Cork(away)
Spreading like wildfire around here anybody else hear anything?
Must stress these are just really strong rumours. But i've been told their official
The fixtures may not be out, but having just got my first look at Galway's new flag's slogan there's something out in Galway alright Conor :p
UCD are at home on Friday 13 April. The game's going to be moved to the Thursday because our Alumni Dinner is on on the Friday.
So the fixtures are made up, but they're not being released until the Shels debacle gets sorted.
It's just a cover for our superstitious nature. :D
How about all the players, officials and supporters hop into busses with blacked out windows at 6pm every Friday and step out two hours later at a surprise venue. It would save the FAI the trouble of drawing up fixtures at all.
Any news on when fixtures are expected. Will you have to wait for outcome of appeal?

We have a Munster derby now Shels been relegated. Should make it there inside 2 hours.
Hey Pete must be 1 slow car u have.... 2 hours :) :) :)
Oh for **** sake  - I have accepted it, I know we got out of jail but I just would have thought that the FAI would wait until the deadline passes as I feel OB might want to throw a spanner into works, I honestly don't know if Shels will appeal I'm just speculating
Will Cork be playing Waterford on the first day now?
According to the shamrock rvs forum the fixtures are to be announced at 4pm today.
Have been told 5.30 but am sitting by the fax machine and its very very quiet!
