What price on Stan pulling it out the bag, with a truly inspiring selection including some genuine surprises.
As a minimum I expect to see Ronnie O'Brien in the squad.

Hopefully.
I don't think there should be any eL players in either squad with the timing of these fixtures.
Hopefully any City players will pull out.
Any word yet?

Well done Roy and Joe.
A thanks but no thanks hopefully.
Who is Lee Frecklington?
Also, what's up with Paddy Kenny?
Frecklington...Jesus wept
What's the story with that fat waster Paddy Kenny? Has he been dropped? If so good riddance to him he was pure s**te against the Dutch and the Cypriots. 9 goals conceeded in 2 games. Now John O'Shea to follow him.
kenny should be dropped but no logan .....why
Liam Lawerence is a good player that staunton made get an irish passport ,he has only picked him once
Where is Liam Lawrence. He deserved a run out before now.
WTF does Colgan offer?
I believe Randolph is highly rated but why no Conrad Logan?
I can't find my pin for the Lincoln City website in my inbox archive.
Paddy Kenny could have been good here, and probably raised his confidence. However, Staunton has called up pretty much the exact same squad who played our last 2-3 games, which really hasnt worked that well. Ireland still rarely plays at Man City, Clarke deserves it just as much as Lee, Murphy and Connolly have been playing more than Elliott and Sunderland (he was injured, and they have not been scoring :() Martin Rowlands has half the appearences (injuries) and 4 more goals than Douglas (who has 0). Where is Shane Long in the B team? And why would you not call up Dixon for a B match if you are so confident in him? Is Ian Harte still hurt? Strange thing, the FAI. I'm really not too worried though, that B team could beat San Marino, and if they (the A team) dont, Staunton won't be there through Thanksgiving.
No it didn't. It included John O'Shea and Joe Murphy. Duffer was on the U-20s in 1997 and 1999, while Keane was on the U-18s in 1998.
I'm biased obviously, but I'm curious as to how Randolph - the U-19s keeper - can jump ahead of Darren Quigley (and Colin Doyle), the U-21s keepers?
Haven't heard much about Ward about Bohs this season so that's a surprise for me.
I find it ridiculous that if Frecklington was Irish born I'm absolutely certain he'd be nowhere near this squad.
I think yer man Emanuel is a left-full and highly regarded at his club so I could see Stan's thinking in bringing him through....its funny though I never heard he had Irish connections at all....
And who the f**k is Frecklington???!!!
No but he was c*ap. I have no anger towards the fat pulp but have no desire to see him in action for Ireland again (Supple and Logan should be given a chance in his place to see if they can do better).
He's as Irish as the St George's Cross.
dumb and dumber flatter to deceive with their squads - where is jay tabb. he was in the reckoning last month when caled into the senior aquad against the czechs who are in the top ten teams but he cannot make the A or B squad for these games against substantially inferior opposition to the czechs. Came on as a sub for Coventry last night and was impressive in his distribution and overall contribution earning him praise from both commentators.
kenny being dropped from both squads is a disgrace - why should he be made a scapegoat.
It's a bit strange if he has gone from no.2 right out of the squad because of 1 or 2 mistakes. Maybe Warnock asked him not to be called up after the injury after the last game.
greendeiseboy - That's the thing, Tabb is a Coventry sub atm. All the midfielders in the squad are more deserving of a place, bar O'Brien who is slowly being faded out I presume. Actually, just noticed Frecklington is a midfielder. Tabb can certainly feel hard done by if he's in competition for his place. Lincoln are in league 2 and he has started 20 league games in his career.
Good point about Tabb.
Glad to see Quinn in the senior squad. I'd like to have seen Ireland in the B squad and McPhail in the senior squad, but I suppose if the intention is to see McPhail play rather than warm the bench then I suppose that's OK.
No Michael Doyle, Jay Tabb, Clive Clarke, Shane Long or Derek Geary - all of whoom are irish born and playing regularly (or at the least semi-regularly) at a high level.
Shocking selection
Everyone seems to be missing the fact that Morrison is in the A squad ahead of Stokes who is in the B squad.Surely Stokes merits a place ahead of Morrison
I guess that means that Ronnie O'Brien is not ever going to play for Ireland. I didn't realise he was almost 28 which explains his abscence from the B (Development) Squad I guess, but given he has been in the all-star games in the MLS he must be at a reasonable standard, there are some decent players in the MLS.
Paddy Kenny's ommission is a surprise, the lack of an explanation from the master of communication that is the Ireland Manager is unfortunately anything but a surprise.
Yeah good one. Let's persist with players who have been proven to be s**t for us. Like Kenny. Did you watch the games he played in? Obviously not because he was diabolical.
F**k him out maybe it'll be a wake up call to some of the others and instead of complaining when Staunton develops the balls to actually shift some of the s**t maybe it makes more sense to back him. I for one don't think it weakens the squad if Kenny was to be replaced by Logan or Supple which is surely what matters the most. If Staunton continues on this course we might get JOS and Kilbane out of the squad also to be replaced by some potentially good young talent. Or would you criticise him for that as well?
FFS PAddy Kenny is obviously a miles better keeper than the likes of Colgan. There's a reason why he's a definite starter in the premiership. He's had a couple of nightmares for Ireland but anyone who blames either defeat on him needs to have their head examined
