Interesting that they sound so protective of the athletics track, which permanently looks in rag order with barely visable markings. Is it ever used btw?

I think it is, there is a club there and then for national athletic thingys
There was talk of a removable running track, which obviously, you were oblivious to before posting a comment that you have no means of backing up, trying to make somebody look like an idiot, well done sir
The curves already are terraced.
Its being redone though
Tawdy, the capacity of the current stand is 1275. The new stand will hold 1680 seats which will bring the covered seating capacity up to 2955. I cant see why not that WUFC can get a long term lease on the RSC. There is ample space for further development but only the right of the existing stand and behind the country goal.
As I mentioned on BTID before there is enough space to add another 750 seats (3 rows) onto the existing stand and the erection of a curved terracing (uncovered seating) for 2000 spectators which will bring seated capacity up to 5700 enabling the RSC to hold European games and underage internationals.
As I said, this is all furtehr down the line but if WUFC manage to get a medium to long term lease on the RSC, there is no reason why it cant happen.
Are there any pictures of this new stand yet?? been waitin ages for them!!
Cobh Ramblers are to build a new 900 seat stand on one side of the ground where the small shed is now, they say it should be ready before next season.

*EDIT: More pictures on the Official Cork City FC website...
Good stuff, the place looks miserable since the Shed was knocked.
This league is built on dubious announcements - if you laid all the press releases on stadium development plans end-to-end it would probably eh, be an incredible waste of time and effort.
To be fair, Cork, Sligo and Longford (when there's a UEFA cup game to be played) seem to have the best record of actually going ahead and building things rather than just talking about it all the time. Credit is also due to Bray who have done a good job of getting basic, but generally adequate, facilities in place unlike most clubs who come out with grand plans that never see the light of day.
So good, it was worth posting again, face. ;)
*EDIT: Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this page to see the plans.
for ffff... right.. well screw that so!!
Planning permission has been granted for the Belfield Bowl.
I see our upgrading works on the stadium itself are starting soon. Will be great when they are finished.
.....what do they entail?
As am not involved in that part of the club dont know that much bout it but do know that it involves upgrading safety features such as crush barriers etc. I havent been at many meetings so dont really know what is happening at the mo but do know that in the next few weeks the work to make CHP one of the most pleasant grounds in the Country are commencing!
Fair play. As you come into the ground that should be terraced really.
KOH
is there any news on pats at al about ground works?
You cant put crush barriers on tarmacadam! Given that it is a slope terracing would be idea there like it is at Harps.
KOH
Sorry I meant crush barriers at the turnstiles but they may be doing something like that inside....as I said am not privy to the plans at the moment but I do know that there are loads of things being done to make it safer and more pleasant.

So Drogheda haven't even gone for planning yet- they have a long way to go yet methinks. In fairness the money seems to be there so they should get there in the end.
Some recent pictures of developments at Turners Cross.
Heard that construction of the new stand in terryland si to begin on the 27/11, will try and get some photos when it happens. they are saying that it is close to the same design as the main stand in turners cross.
Are there plans to have covered seating all around Turner's Cross eventually?
