Would have thought more than that. Definitely around 100 behind the goal but would estimate 1000+ in the stand. That stand holds 1500+ when full. Biggest crowd in Mels since the longford cup match. But after the muck that Athlone played might be a long time again before that many home fans turn up.Quote:

No it wasn't. There was no more than 4-500 at that game (and that's being generous).Quote:

We would have got the 1,500 if the weather wasnt so severe snow and hail are hardly summer soccer conditions.
No more than 700. And I wouldnt blame any local for ever turning up again. Appalling stuff and a facile win for us.Quote:

looking on el weekly that 275 crowd for fc dublin farm seemed generous.
shels v longford was reported in the papers as 1200.go with the more realistic figure.absolutely pathtic.
the linfield game was another pathetic turnout by shels fans.the mains tand was half empty.id say 1000 there with 900 in the lego stand.1100 linfield according to setanta.overall 3000 but still...
The official attendance should include everyone in the ground, with the exception of the players, match officials and match day staff. It should include all season ticket holders, freebies, patrons and those who paid in.Quote:

Well the 750 were paying customers the Season Ticket holders and Complimentaries werent included and thats a fact.Over 1,000 at the game the 750 was taken from the report on the website as official gates are not posted there.Quote:

at GUFC and at our meeting on Monday night we went through everything about the organisation and running of Friday Nights game including the attendance.
The figure were as i gave out above 752 paying customers, 156 Season ticket holders as we check them through a seperate gate every home game,50 Comps from Western Cellular and there was also well in excess of kids u12 who we let in free.
We have well over 270 season tickets sold including silver and gold tickets which admit 2 people.
The figure quoted on the sentinel and on the report on GUFC.IE was actually just the paying customers.I hope this clears up the confusion.
Also some of last years average gates seem way off the mark especially the 1st division ones.
IMO you can't include freebies in an official crowd.Quote:

As I have said, the official crowd should include all punters, including freebies and free kids etc. Ideally, all grounds would have electronic stiles which would count everyone that comes through. However, if you havn't got electronic counters on your stiles, it's a simple matter to use "clickers" to count the freebies and just add that figure to your ticket sales.Quote:

if theyre in the ground watching the game then , regardless of whether they paid or not, they shuld be included in the total attendance figure.there shouldnt be any controversy there
The 275 at the Home Farm match must have included the 22 players
4 match officials, Rocky the Bar staff, 2 coppers
and the 6 people employed by Burdocks
New half time competition count the fans!
A disgrace to Irish football whatever way you look at it.
LSL Teams get more
A lot of people think that is their next stop.Quote:

3000 I'd think. Stand was full, camac was very close to full and a decent number in the shed. And for those idiots on Corkcityfc.ie, NO TROUBLE
according to a reliable source there were 950 at the RSC for Waterford V UCD which is more than double the attendance at the previous match between these two at that venue last year!
950 is too little I do think.. the man stand was close to being full.. even the away section was near full of blues.. I would say around.. 1000 or more in there... and counted 51 people of far side so approx 1050.. maybe if we can get someone who was over there to help us out!! would beh great :D 950 is too little... there were more fans in teh stand last night than the bray game
There was 385 at teh Limerick Monaghan game last night.
Jesus that's depressing:(. I know Mon's have only ever got like 4 fans that travel to away games but where's all Limerick's support gone?.Quote:

A win on monday and we're right up there.
I presume that's a dig at us?.Quote:
