Treaty, Bray and Longford were in the hunt for a playoff for a good part of last season. Apart from the newcomers finding their feet, Finn Harps were off the pace. Have Finn Harps the majority of last year's squad? Cobh and Athlone made a significant improvement last year.
I wouldn't bemoan a draw in the pats game tonight - they are a step up in quality from the 3 previous team's we've played, and it looks like it'll be end up being Greene & Burke up front- I missed out on the away ticket lottery so I'll have to shout at loitv tonight instead - my neighbours will be oh so pleased!
We've quite pathetically won once in our last 22 games against Rovers apparently, so it'd be nice to address that this evening. It's been a far cry from the heady days of Morgan Langley where it felt like we couldn't help but beat them.
Pitch inspection in Wexford.
I just realised the early kick off means we can go top for a period of time. Coupled with the 4 games I haven't been at being Harps wins its defo a defeat then.
Game is going ahead. Wexford and Treaty tweeted it
What’s the story with Ronan Finn UCD fans? Is he out long term?
I heard he is out for another 4 weeks or so. Just bought a ticket for the Harps game tonight a good few Rovers fans doing the same.
What's with the Kerry colours for the UCD away kit?
2 points dropped there,UCD will be happy with their afternoons work after playing much of the second half with 10 men, capitalised on a bad error at the back from us,didn’t do enough to win after and compared to away from home we’re not quite at it at Finn Park….
Very poor conditions in Turners Cross. City 2 up and very comfortable in this game.
We've had that a couple of years now. Nice to mix up the away kit every now and again.
Can't really complain with a point from Donegal with ten men either. Five unbeaten now after three early defeats on the spin. Finn coming back (next month touch wood, as already stated) should obviously help, and Behan has 4 from 8, so maybe he's the prolific First Division forward I had thought we were missing.
Still can't see us going up, and not too put out by that either really.
Miserable conditions in Wexford making football difficult from the looks of things. Even enough, but Wexford have made the better chances, with two fluffed breakaways
Fantastic goal from Mark Coyle in Drogheda....
Until I hear that final whistle blow, I'm saying nothing ...
Kerry lead 2-0 at half-time. Two well taken goals. Amechi missed a great chance to put Kerry 3 up. Sean McGrath with the first goal. His 50th game for Kerry. Also the 50th senior game for Kerry. 45 league, 2 FAI Cup and 3 MSC.
Wexford go in front off a deflected strike. Suddenly realised Treaty are coming up on five hours in the league without scoring...
Having been so comfortable in first half and leading now 2-1 for Pats from suicidal defending by Rovers - dreadful stuff from us
Derry 3-0 Dundalk with half an hour to go - a win for Dundalk seemed unlikely, but could a hammering make things start to turn a bit nasty?
Dundalk 3 down in Derry , O’Donnell on borrowed time I think…..
Bray doing what your supposed to do against 10 men,3 up after Athlone got a first half red card….
4-0 now.
UCD took a few batterings up in Derry the last couple of years. Lost 10-1 on aggregate both the last two seasons for example. Is that what Dundalk have slumped to?
And Drogheda retake the lead against Shels to put Dundalk six points adrift at the bottom - same as the gap from Drogheda up to Derry in second.
Two one Wexford, slight suspicion of offside for their second, but it was marginal at best. Treaty goal a great free kick, first in about four and a half hours in the end.
Probably two points dropped. Harps were the much better side but very wasteful in the final third. Couple of really big chances missed, and UCD took one of the only real chances they had. Credit to them though, that'll be a good UCD team next season once that group have a year of senior football under their belt.
We'd be talking a very different tale though if it weren't for save of the season from Kian Moore. Outrageous effort to tip Conor Tourish shot onto the bar.
And now 2-2. All happening here!
