Just Republic of Ireland. My lineage goes back 100% Irish as far as I can trace.
Ireland or England, miss out on Germany by one generation, although that part of Germany is Russian/Polish now anyway.
Counties = Wicklow or Cork.
I always new there was something Dub about you DE TOWNQuote:

I'll take the Italian "connection" though although the way things are going for Gordon Strachan, you know................... :D
Don't think you have to own a property or even live or work in the county..Quote:

Plenty of the young fellas on the Galway team don't own any property and I used to work with a Laois hurling and Football county player and he Lived and worked in Galway yet played for Laois!!
To answer the Question
What other nations could you play for?
Answer is none
Irish through and through.. could only and would only play for Ireland..
In GAA would only play for Galway :D
sure why would I need or want to go elsewhere, Galway being all Ireland champions and all :D
How can you prove to the passport office you were conceived in Glasgow??Quote:

Soccer - only Ireland.
GAA - Kerry (originally from there, though was born in Limerick; think that qualifies me for Kerry?), Tipp (1 parent and 3 grandparents), Limerick (1 grandparent), Dublin (1 parent and currently living here).
Are you a dub??? ;)Quote:

Just Ireland in football, any foreign lineage is a very long way back.
In GAA I qualify for Dublin by birth, and Tipp and Wicklow through lineage.
Football, Ireland, Ingerland  , Scotland. I'm not including the wee six here - mums from Fermanagh - as I'll only include real country's in the list ;) :p
Passport office??Quote:

Sorry, I'm just being my cynical self.
Wasn't hard to figure out - holiday in Glasgow in April - born on Xmass Day.Quote:

Soccer-Ireland
G.A.A.(Not that I would play that ****e :D )-Sligo
Footie would be Ireland and Germany.
GAA- HUH? :)
Ok this will take some beating I believe
1/ Granny on Dad's side born in Valparaiso , Chile qualifying me for CHILE
2/ Her husband (grandad) born in Co. Armagh qualifying me for NORTHERN IRELAND... as does mother (Born in Belfast) and her Ma (ditto)
3/ Grandad on Ma's side born in Cairo Egypt thus qualifying me for EGYPT
4/ Born in Dublin, qualifying me for the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.
Now on another related issue. Anyone entitled to a UK passport is equally eligible to play for Wales, Scotland and England as I understand it .......
OK Bogball connections... Armagh you already twigged, Dublin ditto
Grandad ( the Egypt born one) played Minor hurling for Antrim( raised in Belfast).... But Antrim hurler's father was from Offaly and his mother from County Cork...
Good heavens CTID - the term "multi-culturalism" could have been invented for/by you. ;)Quote:

My mum's dad was originally from Mayo, born and raised.
My dad's mum is from Germany and he was born over here. Now I currently live over here too.
I was born and raised in England.
So just a standard Germany, England and Ireland for me.
Then why include Ingurlund and Scotland? ;) My other options are Spain, although even if I was good enough at anything, Spain doesn't recognise dual nationality except latin American countries and I'm not prepared to ditch my Irish nationality. Love to be called up by Sven, though. It would be a great honour to be the first Ingurland international (sic.) to score a hat-trick...in his OWN net! :D :DQuote:

AFAIK the GAA rule used to be that you can play for whatever county
you were born in, what ever county your living/working in or whatever
county your father was born in. Dont think mothers or grandparents
come into it.
I have my reasons.....now **** off!! :D :D ;)Quote:
