Johnny Mernagh(striker) from Athenry FC
OUT:
Tony Mannion (unattached) :)

Dublin City have rammed David Freeman into the yawning striker-shaped gap in the squad left by the departure of Michael Holt. On-loan till the end of the season. Considering his position in the Drogheda pecking order (behind Mark Rooney, who couldn't get his game for our under-21s two years ago...) it's hard to know how this signing will pan out.
A 100% confident david freeman is quality. Confidence is very bit low this season, but showed some great football in patches last season.
Heard McGovren has signed from Rovers!!!! HEARD
ah listen to me now 4 eyes,im getting sick of you!Quote:

Probably very easily, he doesn't get that much. Wouldn't be one of the higher paid players.Quote:

And then McCourt would do his cruciate or something like that and ye'd be in a right 'ol spot of trouble on the right!Quote:

No, nor Finn. I think Mahon was annoyed at them when they left. Also we have plenty of strikers.Quote:

He's not full-time though, as far as I know. Of the three players who left is last season, Pat Sullivan was the only one who left because he wanted to try full-time football. The other two left because Waterford waved silly cash at them.
George O'Callaghan NOT going any where!
:D

Want to ask Waterford that, not me! That's another reason why more should be done about clubs going belly-up like this - they're effectively robbing our player on promises of more money which they can't possibly pay. It's ridiculous.
With his striking rate this year (and second half of last year), I'd hope not. I'd have Finn back in a heartbeat though.Quote:

In his last 13 games last year, he played the equivalent of 7 1/2 full games and didn't score. This year he's played in 12 games (starting 8) and has played the equivalent of 7 full games and has scored once. Neither is a great scoring rate.Quote:

Certainly no better than what we have already.Quote:

We have Robbie Martin, Damien Dupuy, Paul Byrne, Conor Sammon, Paul Whitmarsh, Podge McWalter, John Brophy and Adrian Murphy already. Don't think Doyle would get his game ahead of half of them (they're not setting the league alight, granted, but he still wouldn't get in ahead of them). No point signing him really. Finn I would take back though.Quote:
