Pike were not poor. As in the other games against Park this season they failed to take any of the chances they created, where as Park hammered theirs home. Two completely different styles on offer as well and have to say Parks was far more effective (obiviously) They had to soak up alot of early pressure but kept it together and gave a great account of themselvs in the second half, with a virtual bag of tricks from Sean Mcdonald, he had them all in a tizz :) y well done to ParkQuote:

Never said they were, and by the way Pike had played the previous Sun. against Charliville, and it was Park that havnt played in four weeks. You must be still hung over from Balla winning the league :)Quote:

Top drawer entertainment from Macky on Friday... No better man to hold up a ball and frustrate the opposition.Quote:

Its what he does with the ball after he farts around is what counts! no end product. Plus i saw Finucane kick him into touch a few times , not an arse in sight!!!!!Quote:

Widow, If Pike are such a so called brilliant team with the so called best players around why would they not take the most prestigious cup serious?? If these players are the best in junior football in Limerick the question of seriousness should not come into it. They were WELL beaten by a superior side on the night..Pike have played Park 3 times this season and have yet to win so does that mean that they took the 2 league games for a laugh also????Quote:

Enough said....so they took the Touhy cup the most serious of all...Quote:

So obviously Pike did take it serious or are you just trying to make excuses like the rest of them!!!!!!! If ye had won, it would be a different story...
From what i seen of the Touhy game it was park that didnt take it seriously, had the fai weekend after rested 6 of there best so id think again on all of the games, and at that pike were still lucky to win.Quote:

how many times do I have to say this.... fair play to park they won the game and deservedly so, lim abroad the lawson is the second biggest trophy to win domestically it used to be a massive trophy to win, this year was a joke I don't even think park took it as seriously as they would have done if it was played weeks before hand like it should have been. Pike have had a hard long season nearly 12 months of playing and challenging. Unlike park. Not making any excuses about pike losing to park but its obvious and anyone with half a football brain could see that the game didn't mean as much to pike

From what you are saying Pike were victims of there own success - A TOUHY CUP!!!!!!!!! obviously you are stilll looking for the other half of that football brain......
they played one extra game in the FAI than pike, and don't tell me they had 22 important league games
must have been the TSB soQuote:
