Odubeko assisted a goal in that game too
It's a pity the money issues at the fai will likely mean even less games at under 18 and 19 level leaving us poorly prepared for qualifiers.
I did wonder why there was no under 18 friendlies this year, there were two last December
Yeah and I'd say there wont be much 19s gamesceither after x mas now that we are out of the 19s. It's a real issue when you see the number of games and camps sides like England have. Massive step from 17s to 19s with so many players who can come into contention you need games to be playing them.
Can the government Nationalise the FAI for two or three years .
Is there really any other way out of this ?
Another 2 goals tonight in FA youth cup, looking like extra time. Impressing according to their website https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/...-charlton-u18s
Expect him to be playing U23s in January as west ham make a push to secure promotion to PL2D1, now that Holland has moved to first team squad, and there may be 1 or 2 moving on as well
Hodge on bench for city 18s today nice ti see him back after his injury
Two more for Odubeko today against Arsenal - I make that eight in League and Cup since arriving at West Ham and seven in his last three games: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...nal-v-west-ham
Assist credited to Shane Flynn in Leicester's 3-0 win over Brighton: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...ter-v-brighton
Fulham's Oliver O'Neill has signed professional terms at Craven Cottage: http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2020/fe...nd-page-go-pro
A few goalscorers today:
Odubeko is clearly the one to watch at this level for us, now that Parrott has moved up - only one for him today as West Ham beat Spurs 3-1: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...st-ham-v-spurs
Oliver O'Neill celebrated his new contract with a goal against Southampton: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...mpton-v-fulham
Shane Flynn scored one of Leicester's five against Arsenal: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...al-v-leicester
Conor Carty scored for Wolves against Middlesbrough: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...-middlesbrough
Cole Kiernan scored for Sunderland, but was on the wrong end of a 7-2 thrashing from Everton: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...land-v-everton
Ayodeji Sotona was credited with the assist for Man Utd's goal in their 2-1 defeat to Derby: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...an-utd-v-derby
U19 player Tom Cannon scored three of Everton's seven goals, and assisted two more
Yeah, the Premier League site isn't always completely up-to-date with regards flags, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. So for now, I think he's still ours to lose - no harm calling sounding him out for U19 duty later in the year
Yeah, good eye Tets - potentially yet another gem up front - but we'll likely have to go through a couple of years of "will he stay or go?" before he lines out for the senior team. Fortunately, by that time we should be in a position where keeping him (and Odubeko) will be a "nice to have" rather than a "need to have" situation
Tom Cannon?
Nope, no, no way... just can't seem to find anything pun-worthy in a forward named after artillery.
(Think it lads - don't say or type it!:D)
First I've heard of him - what's his position? Centre or wide forward I'd guess?
The poll makes puns unmoderated, not mandatory, lads.
Yeah, no need to jump the gun.
One doesn’t want to be hoist by their own Petard !
heard hes good in the air

3 goals and 2 assists is an explosive performance.
OK, back to business - only 5 games in the U18 Premier League but Irish players were still among the goals:
Charlie McCann scored two for Man Utd against Sunderland: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...land-v-man-utd
Shane Flynn scored one and was credited with the assist on the other Leicester goal as they lost 3-2 to West ham: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...am-v-leicester
Conor Carty and Festy Ebosele were the goalscorers in the 1-1 draw between Wolves and Derby: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...wolves-v-derby
Calum Kavanagh linked with a move to Chelsea in a paper today...but
(A) it's the sun
(B) the article has more about Chelsea signing Billy Gilmour's brother from Kilmarnock
(C) again - it's the sun
https://mobile.twitter.com/dcfcacade...24834088325120 . Class video posted by Kenny's kids. Love it seeing a non Irish born underage player kitted out in the training gear . Class he starts with the knee bandage on his left knee at the end it's on his right knee. Rory delap comments on it obviously in and around same age group as his son pity he is not involved with us

Following on from this. The Sun have gone in on it again. They reckon Celtic are in for him. And Arsenal.
Underage keeper Dan Rose has joined Schalke from Everton.
https://lastwordonfootball.com/2020/...fc-schalke-04/
Excellent move for him. Germany is probably the best country in the world for developing keepers. In general they’re comfortable giving keepers games at a young age and accept the mistakes that young keepers will make.
Schalke was the club that developed Neuer albeit a long long time ago.
Currently they have Nubel who was the Germany u21 keeper that played against Ireland in the last campaign (he’s off to Bayern at the end of the season) and Schubert who is the current Germany u21 keeper, so the road could be blocked for a while.
Nonetheless, if he’s good enough, he’ll get game-time when he’s ready and further evidence of the keepers that Schalke can produce...
