From his body language he looked diappointed and he sort of slumped into his seat on the bench. Hardly a strop, it could easily just be him being frustrated with his performance.

Hoban has a strop this time last year when he was taken off and that turned out ok.
I think though that he should’ve been taken off a lot earlier, he hasn’t played well at all this season and looks disinterested at times.
Thats a dramatic reaction to a tongue in cheek suggestion to drop the leagues top scorer.
Do you think there aren't any dundalk fans on twitter that might post something like that?

Longford 3 Drogs 0 full time. Fantastic win.
Disappointing night for us last night, Sligo will be delighted with the win given their injury problems and probably deserved too given they looked solid at the back without doing that much going forward,as for us we're struggling to create chances from open play,Boyd for a big man doesn't hold the ball up well enough , McAleer was excellent when he came on and has to start I'd say, tough game on Monday now ........
Cobh 0 Athlone 1. Williams seems to be flying in Athlone. Anyone seen Athlone play yet this season? Are they just getting lucky or are they looking like a decent outfit?
They’ve put in a bit more money and signed up a decent squad. They’ll be in the top half this year, possibly pushing for the play offs.
I agree CD. It was tactically shrewd too, we didnt exploit the space created by that for any number (of injury) reasons ;) I'd much rather have our main striker unhappy being subbed than delighted to trot off early. It's not the first time that Hoban hasnt been happy about being subbed when he has drawn a blank, it's the standard he sets himself of minimum 1 goal per game. I dont think his body language was disinterested on the pitch as much as he had supply cut off and when he got a sniff of a chance he isnt being sharp enough yet to poach away - like being able to toe poke a keepers fumble in to the net early last season. He has missed a peno and hit the woodwork a few times but that will pass and he will still be 20 goals up by season's end. Kelly will get more game time this season but I dont think that keepers and strikers should be dropped quickley as they are positions that I think need to play in to form and get the vote of confidence...until it become glaring that someone else needs to be given the chance to step up.
Being a former player that left suddenly aside, Ronan Finn does plenty of badgering players around him. Thats grand when he isnt being a bit sloppy himself. He cut a more frustrated player than Hoban did!
Plenty of space to widen the pitch and reduce the techical area by few feet, a crucial few feet that is obviously the winning or losing of a game!!!. I'm not allowed ask?
Interesting RH about organising the sections of the ground where fans can generate most atmosphere. When people get moved about after a new stand is added it will take a bit of time to settle. From online it seemd likea good atmosphere!
Hoban was miles off the pace the other night though and I was waiting to see would they have the bottle to bring Kelly on. Just like the game against Sligo, Kelly looked dangerous when he came on. That's not me saying Hoban isnt going to be the man this year but he didn't look right the other night.
Pat Hoban has not shown his previous form in any game, including pre-season matches, so far.
I suspect Vinny Perth is likely to follow the management attitude over the last number of years and persevere with him for a while to allow time for it to click again for him. That said, Georgie Kelly looks to be strong and eager - so the case for resting Hoban will grow with any further below par performances.
I am confident that he will come back in to form - I would still back Pat Hoban for 20 + goals this season
I heard from someone that shams don't let you bring a bag into the stadium.... this true?
I imagine away fans would be put in the 4th stand and then potentially people would want to move from the south back to the east, whether that would be happen or not is another question. Might also result in the entrances in use changing which could cause people to move
I'd say away fans in 4th stand home in South and West and East stand only for matches where home
support needs to spill into east.
Tallaght any good for getting a decent stream??
3 nil to rovers pico watts and greene , watts also missed a peno, could be 5...
Half time, long evening ahead for harps
This could be anything I fear, game over at half time.
Finished 3 nil could have been more,Horgan sent off, all in all a successful night 😑😑
Tough night at the office. A joke that the game was even scheduled for this Monday, but what can you do.
By the time Cork come to Finn Park on Friday night, it'll be our sixth game in 21 days.
Decent crowd down from harps.
I agree it's ridiculous scheduling.
Having this game fixed for tonight was really unfair on Harps, and other teams in the league apart from Shamrock R.
The awarding of penalties in the LoI, is a topic that is always worth studying. So far in the 3 games at Tallaght the home team have been awarded one in the two games against the 'lesser clubs' but not when one of the big clubs played at the venue.
Also sad to see the no bags allowed rule spreading to LoI grounds.
'Finn Harps boss Ollie Horgan says one of the reasons he was given for being sent off tonight was that he pronounced the ref's name as Gaeilge' : from Dave Donnelly on Twitter 😂😂
Disallowed goal for offside on Saturday night in Longford, no idea what the linesman is looking at
https://www.facebook.com/loveyourlea...6426768612251/
that is unbelievable.
Did the linesman think the guy on the line was not on the pitch?
Either way i don't think a defender off the pitch behind the goal is "technically" off the pitch from an offside perspective.
I don't think he was offside even if you ignore the guy behind the line (who does count)
Was it definitely offside was given?
