UCD are already safe
Enjoyable game in the Brandywell, and good to get a few of the lads coming back from injury/suspension a run out.
I thought Longford were actually quite good and tried to play football. Passed it out for the back a lot, and pressured Derry we when had the ball. They're bound to remain around the top of the First playing like that.

Stokes's goal on 1:30 the best of the lot.
Would actually agree with all that except the club shop bit. Surely that wouldn't lose money?
There was a shop selling bars and I think tea/coffee. Didn't see any problems really
Buckley?
He was in the hot seat on Monday.(Aprils fool joke by the Pats mdc maybe?)

Full times:
Bohs 2-0 Cork
Bray 0-1 Waterford
Dundalk 3-1 UCD
Harps v Derry gone to extra time after 1-1 draw.
We scored a whatsitcalled!!!!!!!
That hole just getting deeper for us...
Derry 2-1 Harps AET
Harps had 3 shots cleared off the line and one hit the crossbar after Derrys second goal.
Despite the risk of incurring the wrath of some Bohs fans, it seems that the Dundalk players and staff are going ahead with donating a days pay to Temple Street hospital

When is the draw for the next round? It will inevitibly be Bohs and they will grab a last minute equaliser and then Doyle awards a penalty to win - all will be forgiven....
Harps continuing to gift goals tonight,abysmal....
Yep. More poor stuff for the first, and got worse for the second. Coming out of the box like that, McGinley either has to get the ball or get the man.
I thought we were poor enough, and with the chances Harps had, I couldn't have had much complaint if they came away with the win. Thankfully more defensive mistakes made it ok for us in the end.
So, that's a our last home match until July. What a league.

Draw is at 16:00 today.
Derry-Waterford
Dundalk-Bohs.
Matches to be played on Monday 5th August.
F***sake
No need to play the Dundalk-Bohs one, as we already know how it's going to play out. Dundalk break 3 Bohs players legs in the first half, and sends them off for feigning injury.
Dundalk struggle to score in the official 90, so the ref adds on another 7 minutes of added time, before Pat Hoban put away a 99th miniute penalty after tripping over his own shoelaces on the halfway line.
AT the halfway line!!
I think the ongoing Dundalk-Bohs stuff on here neatly encapsulates the downside of a ten team league and the resulting constant repetition of fixtures.
Dundalk and Bohs should issue season tickets for games against each other.
No chance of a replay 122nd minute peno for dundalk to win it.
Talbot trips on his laces as he is taking a goal kick, doyle books him for diving and awards pen to dundalk
The nouveau riche have so little class these days
