It would'nt be to far off if not more than 3000, the seated "stand" holds 2500, and that was nearly full, and there was at least 1000 standing in all other parts of the ground.Quote:

The media have a tendency to underestimate. I remember a game against Limerick with UCD at Belfield near the end of the season and the guy on the radio said 50 people were in attendence when there were easily 100 and I reckon 150 at it.Quote:

Having seen it on eL weekly, that 1500 looks way too high. No-one behind either goal and no-one in the far stand (during the brief glimpse we had of it) - where were these 1500 people? :confused:Quote:

2500 capacity? Tis like Turners Cross but longer i think?Quote:

In fairness to Sligo their biggest and best stand is the one under the camera and 1,500 and more could easily be fit in there.
Fair enough so - didn't realise that stand was so big when I was out there!
1250 ppl at the gufc - atfc match....they gave the exact figure, but didnt catch it...was close to 1250....someone might release the official figure at a later time....dont think that number includes season tickets or the one free match coupons....
I'm guessing 6500 were at the Cork-Bray game. I'm not sure how accurate my guess is but there were a lot of people there for a Bray game (although it was the first home game of the season). Shed full, Donnie Ford & Derrynane 90% full, St.Annes 60% full.
The reporter that was the for Radio 1 said 7000.Quote:

It was practically full aswell! Id say 7000 would be a lot more accurate!Quote:

It was definately more than that! ;)Quote:

Aertel says 7000 so they must be right ;)Quote:

Per the Waterford forum, 2500-3000 at Waterford-Harps, although they do say that the Waterford fans made more noise than the Harps fans! ;) Will take the 2500 from that.
Waterford V Harps Guessing around 2,000.Don't know what the stand holds?
Sorry ignore last post,please! :oQuote:

Having watched that on tape I thought that figure was suprisingly low too, but it's good their releasing offical figures.Quote:

The RSC stand holds 1200...it was packed today..even had a few people sitting down on the stairs  all the fans around the pitch had very little room to move a finger!!!
Only 200 at the Dublin V Sligo game...Thats miserable!
7000 at Turners Cross....WOW thats all I can say!
Don't forget the turnstile end is now closed off and you'd always have had a couple of hundred there. Plus in the first half the Shed was almost empty and not that many moved down there for the second half.Quote:

Mind you I nearly started counting heads the game was that bad :(
I was in the St.Anne's end, so I wasn't in a good position to judge. If it was nearly full then I'd go at 7,000 aswell.Quote:

The television deal and advertisment seems to have made a difference this season. :)

Lads, approx 2850-3000 at the Waterford v Harps game. The Stand 1250 packed to the rafters with another 1600 around the ground.
I watched the game on TG4 and oh my god what a shocking game of football.Quote:
