Know of any other pubs? I'll give you a clue O' Raffs, Wood Green £1.60 a pint Sunday - Thursday, and pretty certain - as the manager is an Ireland fan (and an all round great bloke - any chance of two free pints PF) that they will have the game on.Quote:

Pat O'Banton - "The lovely Mrs O' Banton's town! Does O' Leary's show Ireland games?"
Is your lady from Stoke ? If you mean O'Learys in Stoke town centre It's only an Irish pub in name only.

Well your sorted then, happy days :D
If Rif Rafs are showing it i will be there, or the fiddlers. We will watch it somewhere, and fingers crossed we will have something to celebrate.
There's always the friendlies for a session ;) March 29th ireland V China
We can start a whole new thread on which pubs to watch that game in. Although it will be alot easier, as according to Sky Sports they are showing it. Will be spoilt for choice :D
The Ireland v Israel is on channel 5 in England, the programe is due to start at 17:25.

good old channel 5! gunther murphy's in munich have still not replied to me!
I didnt know there was a thread here about it, its on channel 5. They just said it there now at the 'bourgh Sporting UEFA Cup game.
one of the four irish pubs in Ilford has an Irish Sky card ... the one opposite Sainsbury near the rail station.... (Maguires)
Jono's only has Setanta - but will be showing the game if it is on Channel 5
Its not listed on digiguide, where did you hear this? digigude has Charmed listed for 17.20.Quote:

Glad to hear your lady is a Stoke fan.
I dont no if there is any where in Stoke to watch GAA matches and there wont be many places that show Ireland footy matches. The problem is Ireland are normally playing the same time as England(football),so of course England get preference. The only places that might show it are the Irish clubs,I think there is one in North Street,Stoke.
There is a chance that the Ireland footy match this Saturday, will be on in some pubs in Stoke or Newcastle.Due to England kicking off at 15:00 and Ireland at 17:50,do you live in Stoke ?
Nah half time in Landaaaan and half time up around Manchester (which is where I will be catching the Isreal game on Saturday, but have had to miss games before, but have had to miss watching and Fermanagh and Donegal (the folks parts of the world) in various big GAA matches before due to visiting the in laws.Quote:

According to that site with all the numbers in the URL the match will be on Channel Five.
Where in Manchester will be showing the game??
I'll probably watch it at home because of the amount of scum that will be about the streets that day between Norn Iron & Engurlund mongs wanting to kick the sh*te out of each other.
I'm getting outta there and heading to meet a mate in Preston to watch the match. Anyway O' Shea's in town should be showing the match as well as Hennigans in Levenshulme. As the match is on Channel 5 there's a couple of other Irish spots in Levenshulme that should have the match on.Quote:

Irish centres in Cheetham Hill or Chorlton will have it. O'sheas in the city centre as Pat O says. Personally I'd head for County Levenshulme they will all have it on, probably The Fiddlers on Stockport Road.
Is Levenshulme a fairly Irish area in manc so? I have a friend from fermanagh who just moved in there.
i'm living in Altrincham at the moment, not much Irish there i'm afraid, cept Keano isn't too far away in Hale. There used to be a Kellys Bar, but its been closed down since I've been there!
