But surely there's more score for them to go for a few pints in Dublin where they're less likely to be spotted? At least in Longford they'd know they're in the public eye a little easier in a small town.

They wouldn't be as likely to go boozing purely out of boredom if they were in a place with more amenities. At the end of the day if they want to go boozing they will but there's really not a lot else to do in Longford unfortunately.
Just because they have invested money in the club doesn't mean they should have a free reign. Supporters make sacrifices each week to go to games and spend their hard earned cash and what have they been rewarded with this season, 1 away win.
When a team only earns 2 points in-front of a home crowd and off field promotions are pretty much non existent, of course the crowds will dwindle.
As for belief in the manager, why keep him now? if by some miracle we do stay up how do you keep him on for next year regardless. There is no way another manager coming in at this stage could do any worse, one win and that's more more than Tony has got us in the last 17 games..
Cowan and McKeown gone now it seems. No surprise he's let McKeown on as the two clearly didn't get along, not that McKeown was in the wrong. Never got a chance. Cousins is a disgrace
Oh FFS. Manager releases/loans out (?) two fringe players to free up space for new arrivals and he's a 'disgrace'!
Cowan has been brutal and McKeown is too lightweight to play centre mid (especially in a relegation dogfight).
Space for who?
Panic avoided we just farmed the boys out to Drogheda for one night only. What a joke we have become.
Major signing set to be announced according to the club. If it's the name I've been given we've done really really well here.
Edit: I don't think it's him 😂
no its some nobody from France! wot is this about?
The Slovenian team he was with seem to be fairly decent as Slovenian teams go, they've finished in the European places in recent years. No idea if he played much for them. We needed a tall defender hopefully he's useful. Another defender would be welcome too.
Seems he played for Wolves u18s before he went to Slovenia

That says he is a striker come winger I heard were we were signing a centre half not a centre forward but who knows I guess we will find out soon enough.
Conceding too many cheap goals!
I see McKeown has agreed to go to Drogheda. So will Don join him?
Imagine a player finding out through Twitter he was being released and free to join another club. That's as low as it gets. Cousins out and at the end of the season the board need a clean sweep.
Exactly what is says on the tin Marty
Do you mean the club's tweet today that said he was going to Drogheda? Had he not agreed to go to them already then? Bizarre stuff but ultimately Cousins should have been the one to talk to him face to face before anything was announced.
Well that's not quite the same thing as finding out you were being released and you didn't know it was coming. It's still a poor way of doing things obviously.
The lad never got a chance even when he played well he was dropped the next week and despite all that he still didn't ask to leave so to find out on Twitter that he was being allowed to leave has left an awful taste.
