Before the Drogheda heads get at it - this does not mean that he is your cousin as well.

Sean Brennan to Rovers is rumoured in Drogheda.

Obviously never saw this bloke during his stint at the Saints :pumpkin:
Not a ****ing chance is Lopes signing for Rovers.
I heard from a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy...
Akinade won't sign for Rovers because he has a contract on the table at Bohs.
Kieran Marty Waters is signing. Schlingermann is linked too although Delany has been offered a new contract. Could have two keepers, could be both bull... you never really know. Stephen Best, very good prospect, is staying on for another year anyway.
Kealon Dillon fell out with Keith Long which is a pity IMO because he's young and likes to get on the ball. He's only improving. He gives it a way a bit but he offers a great attacking impetus when playing.
Jason Byrne is leaving and hopefully retiring. Sad to see such a legend of the league struggle to play 20 minutes
Is there anyone else leaving shamrock rovers
Conversation on Friday in Inchicore
"Why isn't Treacy playing for them?"
"He is. Left win there. On the ball now"
10 minutes later. Same lad
"I'd like to see us sign Treacy for next season"
"You didn't even know he was playing..."
The power of the ex-international
Not a transfer rumour so much as a re-signing, but worth a look at one of the greatest press releases you'll ever read. Heard the one about the League of Ireland player who didn't know what age he was? but who should have a statue erected in his honour? Read on...

That press release is gas. Greatest league in the world.
Thats Rogers, Mountany, Boyle, Gartland, Gannon?, Meenan, SOD, Finn, Kilduff, O Connor (his brother too) all signed up for next season already (maybe missing 1 or 2)
Limerick have been trying to tie down a few players for the last few months but with the uncertainty I'm sure its nearly impossible.
Cork rumoured to be sniffing around a few players already.
Always sounds like weird and extremely disconcerting behaviour to me.
FANTASTIC! Scored a vital late winner V Bray, Goal of the season contender V Galway in the cup.
Won a League medal and has a FAI Cup final and Champions League Football next season to look forward too.
Money paid on Mountany (5 years ago) and Horgan have worked out excellent aswell.
Cheers for asking
They got a fee alright but it could be argued that it was well spent as he has scored a couple of crucial goals, notably in Derry and Bray, that have helped win the title and guarantee another half a million in prize money from Europe.
Personally I think it's madness any LoI club paying a fee for a player, not counting the under 23 development fee though.
I don't know. If it's a modest fee and the club can afford I don't see the problem. Any fee paid is likely to be less than the cost of paying a player for a season, and nobody bats an eyelid when a team adds an extra player.
I recall the hilarity and guffaws when Dundalk paid a fee for Daryl Horgan. Not many would quibble with that decision now.
It depends on the player and the situation.
In Horgan's case didn't a fee of some type have to be paid because he was u23 and offered terms by Cork?
Horgan was always a fine player.
The sort of player you need if you want to win trophies.

Paddy Barrett signs for 2016. Barrett is a player who has the potential to be terrific in this league.
