practically every club is a ltd. mos offered his resignation a long time ago the club has no money , changing to a ltd and raising 70,000 is good : fact .this worked for clubs like united celtic etc etc ..

NO ONE ELSE WANTED THE CLUB THIS IS WHY HE IS STILL AT THE CLUB .
if some one else had come in he would be gone a long time ago .

some of the stuff you say on here is just bad and small minded mos isnt a big businness man or even an acompleshed chairman , he took a job no one else would touch tried his best , not allways doing what was right but every one makes mistakes .

in case you have nt noticed he has been trying to bring in investors such as the one s now with out him limerick would be long gone

Let me set this out in plain uncomplicated terms for you:

1. MOS has proven himself untrustworthy.
2. His actions as outlined by the new investors are stopping the deal going through.
3. If he cares about the club as you claim he should be happy to take what he can prove he is owed and leave. His actions are deplorable. He is trying his best to wring as much money out of Limerick FC as possible.

His actions are wrong. There is no debate about this. You are either lacking all the facts or are choosing to ignore them. It is funny that all your posts are about boosting up MOS's image and absolutely none are about the betterment of the club...

im not here to get into a slagging match with any one i have posted other posts asking yere opinion on next year but got no responces this was the second post i looked at and saw he was getting a hard time .
in my opinion he has done the best he can , in the clubs best interest is he goes now ( which is happening ) and new guys that have money come in .


all i wanted to do is to put foward my point of view and to try and balance a debate out a small bit ,because basically people on here were being nasty to a guy that does nt deserve it , sure he has made mistake s propibly did things all wrong ill admit that but thats what happens when you put a normal family man in charge of a football club !! .

of coarse i dont know all the fact any more than you do . no club in the world tells its fans whats going on its called business sence .

as for the betterment of the club , it does nt matter what i say what you say the guys with the money will do what they want !!

but i will ask one last question if mos was holding it all up why did the new guy ask him to stay on for an extra period to help out with licencing problems ??

how about this the deal is going through its taking a small bit longer than thought but both parties are happy but its just things dont happen over night .

the sports fund investing in my club has taken from august till now and yet still isnt completed . things like this take time

now i feel that is a much more constructive way to look at things and try to improve the club rather than slagging people off

I don't know who anto is - I don't care. The whole point of a forum like this is debate. I see Deise's point - I see Anto's point. There is no need to ban people from debate - if MOS himself wants to come on here and put his point of view across then that is great.

What is this hang up with identifying people etc. We should all be intelligent enough to make up out own minds on what we read and know that some views may be better (or more subjective) than others.

There is a lot of attacking of the poster rather that the post going which is more worrying than who is behind the name.

Agree with you totally. However in this case, some exception could be taken by what appears an attempt by Michael O'Sullivan to get his side across by using a close relation of his to do his dirty work.

It is a cowardly act if this is the case, and one would hope that if Mr. O'Sullivan, or anyone else who wants to air views or opinions would do so themselves, and not hide behind others. I would personally welcome a situation where we could all constructively discuss our views, not snipe behind peoples backs as has been the case.

first of yet again ill say im not mos im not speaking on his behalf i have not been instructed to give any bodies story from any side this is just my opinion on the way i see things that i alone have constructed in my head !, ive been supporting limerick for around 15 or 16 years and i can honestly say that yesterday was the first time i ever felt unwelcome at this club . by only one or 2 ill admit . fair ennough if you dont agree with me thats fine you dont even have to like me but dont go snooping around tracing my ip address then trying to get me banned from the site .if you dont agree with me reply and we 'll have a discussion about it (you may even change my mind )

Lads, this is gone beyond a joke. It's not important who any poster is. End of story. I don't care how anto1208 is linked to MOS, it's the same as JoeSoap being tied in with NOC and there's been no calls to censure his posts, even if some think that this affiliation colours his views at time. anto1208 is clearly a supporter of MOS but that in no way cheapens or demeans his opinion.

I'm not banning anto1208 because he's entitled to express an opinion but if there's one more post that has anything to do with anto's identity and not addressing the central theme of this thread 'the deal is in trouble' I'm going to lock this thread once and for all.

No-one thinks that you are not allowed your opinion. The real problem here is the reason (whether perceived or not) why you are giving this.

At the weekend MOS was complaining to a fan that he was being given a hard time on the boards. Less than 24 hours later a new prolific poster appears who really has no other function but to try to gloss over MOS's current actions.

There is another poster on this site who gives another figure involved with LFC a huge amount of undeserved PR. He has been taken down when he has talked cr@p simply to make his friend look good.

I have no problem with your identity. I do have a problem with someone who consciously ignores all facts that go against the case he wishes to make. This is one of the only message boards that has a high level of intelligent discourse. The last thing I want to be reading are uninformed fanboy-esque posts.

I think that my posts generally don't get called for censure because they are accurate, informative, intelligent, marvellous, fantastic, insightful and a lot of the time, the only ones on this thing. :D :D

Point taken SLK, but I do believe that anyone who tries to support and justify the actions of Michael O'Sullivan et al on this forum deserves to get shot down by the likes of Gael and Deise and any other fan. It is a fans forum after all, and theres no two ways about it, Michael O'Sullivan has landed us in a lot of hot water, and now seeks to make personal profit from a new gift horse....if NOC or anyone else behaved in the same way, I'd expect the same abuse levels.

I don't mind criticism of MOS Joe but criticism of a poster simply because they hold a different viewpoint is out of order. The rule of thumb here is 'Attack the Post, not the poster' and some people have forgotten this in their haste to 'unmask' people. Some people (not you) have even spilled over into other threads with similar crap. I certainly don't want to lock this thread because there's a lotof information there but unless it gets back on topic pretty sharpish I'll have no choice.

I've already slagged another member about this in another thread. Simply because we have the experience that MOS is untrustworthy, I do not give the other side my complete trust. I'm sure there is an element of spin on both sides, but MOS is the boy who cried wolf. If you lie continuously to fans don't expect them to believe a word. I don't 100% believe the other side either but I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt or in other words enough rope to hang themselves with.

Think you might find that the problems concerning the 'newly signed lease' as you so put it SLK are issues concerning the trustees of the ground, and the rules written into that trust. This has got nothing to do with any individual/s, but its a legal matter that needs ironing out.I fail to see the link between this and the rumoured appointment of our new manager who is supposed to be able to sway my every post...maybe you'll explain.

As for your point about giving the new board the benefit of the doubt I think it could easily be argued that they've already betrayed this. Just to give two examples.

1. I know it was 'ages ago' and that it didn't go through but let's not forget that they did try to have a supporter banned from the ground. The fact is that if JohnD and others hadn't spoken up on behalf of this supporter they would have pressed ahead with this ridiculous scheme. A scheme that in my opinion, is near fascist.

2. I'm just gonna throw out a random scenario here. Would anybody question the suitability of a person being club manager, a member of the club's operating body and the signatory on the lease for the club's ground? Let's just carry this fictitious scene a wee bit further on. If the club are languishing in the depths of the first division next season would it be easy to remove such a figure. Am I the only one familiar with the story of Chester City whose American chairman ended up picking the team? Actually, I probably am... :)

I sincerely hope that this deal goes through, I can't stress enough that I think it will be beneficial to the club but the perception that we're replacing a shower of untrustworthy, incompetent devils with a choir of lovable, trustworthy angels is at least 50% incorrect and it demeans the intelligence of everybody involved to present things as such. The new people are bringing an abundance of resources and ambition but I suspect that the level of moral behaviour will not be rising one hundredfold.

It is an issue about individuals, namely NOC. Everyone knew the writing was on the wall for his return for the past few months. The fact he is so tied into the mechanics of the club is worrying, and does give SLK more than adequate reason to express concern.

I think you are letting your imagination run away with you a little bit here.You are forgetting the vast amounts of money, time and investment that are being put into this by the new set-up.You seem to compare all of this with a Stalin like coup, with dictators overthrowing peasant do-gooders, when in fact it is simply some hard faced successful busisnessmen coming in to exploit an opportunity that the club, players, fans and city will benefit from. If they fail, which they might, I can't see them standing in the way of someone who can do it better.It's called BUSINESS ...ON AND OFF THE FIELD.

Do you even know when the trust for Hogan Park was written up....or who the trustees of the ground actually are??? Or what the rules of that said trust state? I doubt you do, and if you did you might understand why it is a legal issue.

I expressed this ages ago in another thread. I think NOC being manager is a conflict of interests, I've said it all along, and i'll continue to say it. It's going to lead to more fighting and problems down the line, unless of course he is highly successful and we're up in no time....

Don't know how well any of ye know Noel, but I can guarantee you that if there isn't success on the pitch within the timeframe he gives, he'll go. Might I suggest that any of you who have all of these 'concerns' regarding someone who is helping drag this club out of the mire and in to the present day, simply call to Pat O'Connor Butchers, 41 William Street, Limerick, and express these concerns with the proprietor. He never shies away from fans, and I'm sure he'll only be too keen to answer all of your enquiries...

I'm asking you to clarify the concern that at least one other poster here has also identified. Are you willing to do this for me? I suspect that out of all the waffle posted here you and anto1208 are the most informed posters on the whole situation so share the wisdom. If you want rumours quashed prove it, give us some facts.

How much does MOS want is another question that anto1208 put out there that nobody answered. Can you answer it for us?
