I'm amazed the Gay Strippers union hasn't condemned this publicly :D
I am trying so see where this could have been taken out of context but it is proving very hard. What is gods name is the man doing ??? :rolleyes:Quote:

1. Read my post, I said "Manager", and also said that we have our fair share of little scumbags.Quote:

Anytime I've been to Tolka Park, there has been an incident with all or some of those mentioned above, as well as the hooligans that seem to have free run of the ground, unhindered by your joke of a security set-up.
3. Want to keep your mouth shut, after you take your foot out of it?
I'm certainly not going to deny that we have scumbags among our support Shelsman, I don't think any of us would. The evidence is there in another thread here where Exile raised the question of underage drunks in the shed-end.Quote:

When it comes down to it though
If fans are abusive and aggressive, Stewards have the right to chuck them out.
If players/ club staff are abusive and agressive, the FAI should ban them.
It's really that simple, that's you're level playing field right there.
IMO, here's how it plays out.
Last season we gave Ollie Cahill dogs abuse against Shels and he scored into the shed. He gave us the finger. My thoughts after were 'why not'. If we dish it out, we have to take it too.
I agree with all of your post tiktok, but while some stewards do their job, the FAI or eL could NEVER be accused of that.....
i blame the scum bag element that is prevalent in some form r another in dublin clubs. a strict door policy should be followed
1 No anto's, tommo's, steveo's or any name ending in o.
2 No burbary once the pinacle of fashion amongst horsey people it has now become the uniform of the violent element of football followers
3 No celtic jerseys ( especially with writing across the back such as "SANDS 32" what has bobby sands or celtic got to do with eircom league football?
4 No aul fellas with anchor tatoos on their fore arms
5 No moustaches
please feel free to add to this list if u have anything constructive to say
£Leon€, while I feel your post is a little stereo-typical, I have to agree with the sentiments expressed.Quote:

Was that before or after some bright spark from Rovers supporters threw the stones into the St. Annes end seating where I and many other parents were sitting with our children?Quote:

We can go around and around all day about each others supporters. The bottom line is until there are strict segregation areas in grounds and competent stewards this will go on and on............

Football hooliganism was 'cool' in the 80's and a few gurriers today seem to want to make it cool again...I don't know if strict segregation is the answer because I feel that then you're paying attention to them, and ultimately thats what they want, but I do agree with NY Hoop  that something needs to be done or else it will continue.

I gotta lie down!!
On the whole GAA thing while you do hear about pitched battles you never hear about crowd trouble i.e. fighting between opposing fans. Am a huge fan of the GAA and believe that as EL fans we cant really slag them off. Look at their facilities. Anyway it's a different culture.............
KOH
the whole culture thing is my point exactly...its all done and dusted, no reprisals, long running hate campaigns, and some of the supporters do get involved in scenes too, but they're not considered as violence or hooliganism.
We could do with taking a leaf out of their book on this one. The problem is that the scum elements that most clubs have do not care about their club, or its players or results. They want to cause trouble, pure and simple and won't be happy till they do.
Oh they do care but it goes a lot deeper than that. Definitely something not to be discussed here anyway............Quote:

In all my years going to GAA matches up and down the country I've never seen trouble with the supporters either. I'm sure isolated incidents happen, but very rarely. The fact is that at a GAA match you can sit next to an opposing fan for a match and have a good laugh. I've done it plenty of times this year in stands and terraces where I was greatly outnumbered and I never felt threatened. The main fights at GAA probably happen on the pitches which are usually sorted out by a quick exchange of blows :eek:Quote:

Basically .... i think that people who go to games with the intention of fighting/breaking something/anti social behaviour are doing untold damage to our game and in no way could be classed as fans. These people take no responsibility for their actions what so ever and they exist because people tolerate their behaviour and to a certain degree the people who excuse this behaviour and these people are part of the problem.
The people making the allowances for these fools are damaging our game and dont have to answer for it !!
