The only way Nzuzi will be gone is if he gets an offer from the UK. I would expect the club to offer him a contract. He really grew into an important player for us.
I've been told by a player today that things are moving along now he expects there to be more re-signings announced very soon.
It seems Stuart is gone back to Scotland for a break and things will move on when he gets back sometime next week.
Lots are "gone" back to England and so on as the season is over. So unless the club announce it we really don't know who's coming or staying
We turned down Elding who has now signed for Cork. Can not understand that decision at all.
He'd never give you enough work rate in the system Taylor likes to play. And he seems very stuck with that system, so Curran suits that one up top perfectly. Lets just pray he doesn't get injured...ever.Quote:

It all points to the system anyway in my opinion. Unless we bring in the players to play that way, it will need to be changed.
I just hope we are working on a few players anyway things have gone very quiet about it. If we just wait and see whats left in a few weeks then i cant see us improving much on last season at all. Already missed out on 2 players that would have been great signings for us.

Taylor will have some job on his hands next season I would imagine. Hopefully the fans expectations are kept low.
From what I've heard, he's been to see Shane Clarke and Shane Walters a couple of times recently. It will look a bit ridiculous if he wasn't good enough to come in mid season, but is good enough to come in pre season...
Needs must I suppose.
Hopefully things will have moved on a bit before the New Year and a few more will have come in or re-signed. Like Jof said, expectations need to be realistic this year with a (currently) reduced budget.

Derek Foran would be a good signing. Had one two many reds but he is still a good centre half and the rovers fans seemed to like him can play a bit of ball too.
On the PFAI list there are some fine players still available but most will either re-sign with current clubs or be snapped up. Foran, Davoren, Marty Waters, Rice just a few off the top of my head.

Foran would be quality...but the problem is that you're looking at a big outlay on wages. If he's travelling to Limerick between 3 - 5 times a week and spending €50 a trip on petrol, he's going to need to be well looked after. Either that, or move him in to an apartment, but you can bet he won't be dropping too much from his Rovers wages.Quote:

Have to be happy with Barry re-signing was unbelievable at times last season. We haven't huge numbers yet but i think we have some good quality in the people we have already.
