Nothing surprising in those results?

Surprising that Ballingarry beat Rockhill 8-0, considering Rockhill drew with Athea, and did reasonably Ok against B.ford.
Hopefully they recover from that against Rathkeale otherwise it could be a long season for them.
Terrible start for NCW, for the last 7 years the winners of the Prem Division have never had more than 2 losses.
The old saying of "you cant win titles at this time of year, but can certainly lose them" might apply to them in this instance.
St. Itas are recording some huge scorelines in Div. 1, they could really push rovers and killeaney for promotion from Div.1
Surprising to see Breska have given a walkover already, should they be on -3 points now??
The points usually are deducted after the leagues next commitee meeting. I expected these kind of results from rockhill this year, if games clash with gaa they struggle to field 11 players
Desmond Youths Trials are tomorrow 5th September.. Its on in the Rathkeale Fc grounds.. And Players are to be there at 5.45.. Let anyone concerned know about them.. They're open trials as far as i know, and it'd be good if all the players that are good enough in the league went so as they'd have a good competitive team. Nice to see them starting early and hopefully they give it a good go.

Well that is a strange one, What makes it even more strange is that Shannonside have a B team, could they not call up 3 guys from the B team??
Im guessing GAA had something to do with it...but still. You'd imagine they would manage to pull 11 players from somewhere considering that that Shannonside was 2 separate clubs not so long ago
Breska gave walkover to Killeaney,,,,is that correct ?
Are you thrown out of the league if you give 2 walkovers ? Kildimo
0 ncw rovers 1
St.Ita's 3 Glantine 4, Ita's slipped up bad, Glantine missing players a great result for them, standard very poor with notable exception to Ita's 2 strikers Paul Fitzmaurice(2) and Niall McEnery(1) could have scored a hat each if it were'nt for brillian Glantine Goalie Seamus Murphy, they now have 7 goals a piece after 4 games.
Are Breska going to be thrown out???
Another hammering to Rockhill. Surely the worst team to play in the premier. Is it something like 24goals conceded in first 4 league games.good win for broadford thismorning. Surely favouritrs for the league already. Shannonside only had 8 players? That's bad form when two towns can't field 11players as one team

Last man back - teams are thrown out of league after three walkovers. Was at Newcastle West v Athea Utd game today where the home side got a flattering 3-0 win, West keeper Tommy Quinn was outstanding with at least 4 top drawer saves, Athea had as much possession as the hosts but two goals in as many minutes late in the second half turned the game in favour of West
I was at the Carrig Shannonside game and from what I could see shannonside had eleven players on the field at all times and even made a substitution at half time. Any truth in the rumours that Tony Quaid is heading back to Newcastle?
I was also at the carrig match and shannonside definitely had 11 on the pitch along with a few subs. Great win for carrig who were missing a couple of their best players.
Good result for Carrig Celtic so if shannonside had 11 starting. Quaid would hardly leave the city league already would he?
I've only seen tony quaid twice with the boro, great temperament on the ball. Looks very comfortable at that level.
But worringly for the young lad, with boro chasing the game for long periods(Carew away and Fairview home) they were very hesitant to introduce him. Maybe he's had enough already, boro ain't going to win the league now

Any1 got the fixtures for the Munster Junior ???
Fairly ironic that you're asking considering the username!!
You're right on what happens - all teams given 6 points - happened a few times in Div 3 last yr 3 teams folded
Are Ballybrown still in the hurling?!?!
I'm sure the League would prefer Breska to give a W/O next weekend and then everyone will get 6 points and know where they stand
Worst thing would be if they get hurlers back win a few matches and then at the end of season give another W/O when the hurling starts again
It'd make a f*ck of the division as all the teams they'd beaten would have to get those points back
I think something needs to be done about all these walkovers. It can potentially cost a team the league title or cause a team to be relegated. Would introducing big fines help to prevent this and make teams think twice about not showing up for games and try harder to get a team together. Points deductions don't really seem to deter them.

Rathkeale Broadford obviously the stand out fixture and they are also meeting in the FAI this weekend i think this weekend will c how good both teams are
I dont know if fines would make a difference mad4it - if they give a couple W/O's and get thrown out they aren't going to pay a fine regardless
Its not something that normally happens at the start of the season really - usually its the last 3 games where teams have nothing to play for and GAA has started back
At this stage you'd think that Breska will likely fold, 2 games 2 W/O's doesnt bode well and they've put a lot of work into facilities over there in recent years
Its a long way back from the bottom division if they do fold!
I thought 3 teams always qualified from the Desmond League for the open draw
You're correct but it's down to 2 this year as the no of teams from the Desmond league who entered is also far fewer than previous seasons. I suppose that finances play a big part in some clubs not entering the competition, but I reckon that 8 clubs didn't enter and it reflects poorly on the league.
