3 and a half years is a very nice contract for Bolger and gives him plenty time to establish himself. Moving in January, at his age, is very beneficial also because, particularly on the basis of Freedman's comments, he's got the next few month's grace as a bedding in period. Pressure to make the first team won't really kick in until he has a full pre-season under his belt.

Bizzarre... I rate him. Would think he'd be considered a gem of a sigining but the club move never materialises. It's not as if he'd cost much. You'd think Trap or whoever would advise a Seria A club to take a punt if they thought he was worth his salt. I think its a measure of what Trapp thinks of our players that none of his "unfashionable favourites" never got a sniff in italy as a low risk investment.
