The knockout format has made it more interesting, I think if they reduced it to one leg, and have a toss for home venue would be best.

Story in today's Mail that Setanta are to focus on increasing their GAA following and they wont be showing any of the 2012 setanta cup games live.
Surely if this is the case it will be the last year of Setanta cup.
They didn't show that many games live last year, if my memory serves me right. Seems odd the wouldn't show at least the final.
Bray v Glentoran

The battle of the dogtracks. Tasty.
Glentoran's first round, first leg Setanta Sports Cup tie away to Bray Wanderers has now been brought forward to Saturday 11th February with a 3pm kick off.
The home leg on 20th February will kick off at 7.45pm subject to TV coverage
It'll be great to see a few more of these games shown live. After a bit of trial and error they seem to have come up with a structure that suits the competition. Good luck to all LoI clubs involved.
bit of a debate over on the Bohs board about whether there is TV money for the games Setanta shows live. I thought that every team got appearance money and that TV appearnaces were factored into these funds but another poster is pretty adamant that there is 2k for the home team and 500 for the away. Can anyone verify either side of this one? cheers,,,
Boh's game on the 13th will be televised.
The IFA president claimed a feew months ago that their teams didnt get their money on time. He claimed that the money is given to the FAI(for some reason) and that thye must distribute it. I cant find the piece, cant remember if it was in a paper or whether it was on the net. If any knows the piece Im referring to can you also have a look for it.

Strange one to move unless they planned on opening up a TV slot. There's Top 14 on both Setanta channels at that time.

Rory Patterson hat-trick for Derry.
Lisburn are terrible. Excellent debuts from Patterson and Madden (two assists).
I listened to the game yesterday and Derry appeared to dominate proceedings from start to finish, regardless of how many men Distillery had on the pitch. Barry Molloy seemed to be lapping everything up in the midfield and Madden was putting a great amount of crosses in. Didn't hear much about Crossan at left back - commentators (Mariborkev) pointed out that he might suffer from the comparison to Lafferty, which was a fair point.
Any links for the bohs game?
Awful crowd there.
EDIT. On another note, that Bohs jersey looks class.
Extratime.ie are offering decent coverage.
McCafferty doesn't look too bad, he didn't really settle with Derry, did he?
1-0 Bohs. Corcoran. Cracking finish.
