Heard about the multiple applications thing too but our spares seem v.thin on the ground.
The eejit who bought 150 tickets for their end ran an Irish pub there, made a big noise about this and was forced to return them.
The best hope could now be locals on the make...in which case, no colours and a lot of bluffing.
Yeah, you were just asked for an e-mail address and whether you wanted one or two tickets. After that, it in theory just depended on how many friends' e-mails you were prepared to use. I know myself and a mate are heading over, so I applied for two from both our e-mails just to raise our chances. I'm sure many others did similar.Quote:

prince20 - I got an e-mail saying my application was unsuccessful as all our tickets went to those who'd been to an away game this campaign.
Don't know what the face value is for them, €19 is it, so reckon they'll start at a €100 but the price could well drop depending on how many are out there.
But my advice is no colours, keep quiet and be prepared to bluff it.

Well, theres 7 of us travelling. All of us season ticket holders and 3 aways attended, although only Zilina and Skopje on record with FAI.
We have no tickets, no correspondence from FAI - emails ignored and fobbed off on the phone last week.
I knew this would be a disaster once they said those who had attended aways would be contacted re tickets, yet they set up an online portal for everyone else to register interest. A complete waste of time.
All of their energy should have been focused on gaugeing how many previous away attendees were travelling and sorting out as many of those as possible.
There's no way this has happened because there are too many regulars ticketless and predicted travelling numbers have been grossly inflated. I'd imagine circa 2,000 have booked this trip.

I know this contravenes the rules - but I have one spare and I am not able to make it this time to Tallinn. I've PMed the first person on the list (Fr Joe) and had no response yet). For an away game, the list order goes out the window a week before kick off (because of postage and travel delays as you note). So if anyone wants the one ticket, PM macdermesser. (I'll hold on for two tickets myself; bit rude leaving a mate in the pub while I go enjoy myself at the game!)

Whatever about people whinging on forums, there literally are dozens of fellas I know through work or home that go to at 75% of away games who did not get any tickets through the FAI, and given that there haven't been that many going to a considerable amount of games, that suggests there could be something wrong.
The ticket office have made mistakes before, it wouldn't surprise me if they;d messed this up too.
it must be maddening for regular fans (not just this for campaign though) that ticket allocation transparency for this match has been dreadful at best. However, Abbeys packages with tickets were sold out within hours and they have many travelling with them without tickets I believe. I am not convinced that the FAI gave them more than they were due. In fact, this is the first case I remember that the FAI offered tickets to regular fans for an away match without even asking them if they were actually going to the match!! maybe thats a big part of the problem. not every travelling fan posts on forums like this and Id say many tickets have dripped down to non regulars who know regulars who were offered tickets and didnt actually need them for themselves.Quote:
