Blarney v ucc should be a cracker tomorrow night.ucc finding form and scoring lots of goals and blarney going very nicely.good referee aswel,so really looking forward to watching it
what are peoples thoughts on Friday night games ?
I presume the players are happy cos they get the weekends off as such, I'd like to go to a few but not when they're clashing with my beloved City.
I know this Friday is Citys last home game but I do think more City fans would go to these games if they didn't clash.
I suppose same goes to you chiefscout, do castleview have lights up in there place at all??? or is it everton, or wherever else you hail from??? Reckon Blarney will be too strong for a good ucc side, Think Blarney could have a right crack off the premier league this year!
Oh, forgot St. Marys as well
Haha..castleview have lights for good few years now..everton and Marys don't have lights.unless you want to count the lights from the airport...all teams would love to have the lights but due to lack of funding or other circumstances can't get them.it's a big attraction for a club though to have them.midweek games v lesser opponents is a big advantage
Blarney 4 ucc 3 after extra time
Youghal 0-0 fermoy. Youghal win on spotters. Only one missed from ten.
We dominated the game with no real cutting edge to us on the night. Best of luck to youghal in the next round.

ringmahon 1-3 douglas hall
Cobh 3-1 against tramore....fairly comfortable start for new management team...and Clifford, you'l be pleased to know the cows were out all week feeding on the grass to shorten it up a bit :o
ballinhassig 2 everton 6 a couple of late goals for everton made it look worse than it was. spirited performance by hassig against a much stronger side.
our lads won 4-1 this morning against temple, goals from howie, wolfie and 2 from macbride
when is the draw for the next round taking place
Carrigaline 3-0 St.Marys.
Scoreline maybe flattered Carrigaline, but they were worth the victory at the end of the day. Went 1 up through a penalty early on. St.marys had a penalty of their own brilliantly saved by the carrigaline keeper near end of 1st half. St.marys had majority of possession in 1st half but no end product. 2nd half they seemed to tire, and Carrigaline caught them twice on the counter attack, 2 well taken goals. Man sent of late for mary's. apparently called the ref a ''so and so'' :P good win for carrigaline, on the basis of this performance Mary's could be in trouble this year.
Mallow 3 Crofton 3 on Saturday.Mallow were 2 up with 20 mins or so to go but Crofton keep plugging away & got 2 late-ish goals. Crofton then went 3-2 up in extra time before Mallow levelled very late on.
Game went to penalties, both sides scored their first 2 pens,Mallow player then took his side's 3rd penalty, the ball hit the back post in the net & came back out. The referee on the day (i will not name him, but he's name has been mentioned on this forum previously as being no-where near good enough) ruled that the penalty had hit the post. A disgraceful decision & one that cost Mallow as Crofton subsequently won the shoot-out. Fair play to Crofton as their players admitted that it was a goal & for their attitude during the game where they never gave up.
How a ref cannot see a ball entering the net & coming back out whilst standing 10 yards away is beyond me & he should not be refeeing if this is the case. All refs will make mistakes about free kicks, offsides etc etc & that is very much part of every game but this was one of the worst decisions i have ever seen.
All the best to Crofton for the next round.
Heard that the intermediate cup draw was supposed to be this evening but got put back 'till next week! Anyone know if there is any truth behind this??
3rd round ties with Cork teams involved
Douglas AFC v Glasheen FC
Mayfield FC v UCD AFC
Youghal United FC v Aondale FC
College Corinthians AFC v Letterkenny Rover FC
Cobh Wanderers AFC v Lucan United FC
Rathcoole Boys FC v Everton FC
Drumkeen United AFC v Carrigaline FC
Greystones AFC v Blarney United FC
You left out Crofton Fc v Verona Fc. Generally good draws for most Msl sides. Everton and blarney with trips to dublin, both should come away with victories, and Carrigaline with a long trip up to Donegal! Would expect most, if not all Msl teams to progress to 4th round, besides ones obviously who paired against each other.
Anybody hear that the carrigaline v st marys tie is to be replayed?
The draw for the 3rd round of the FAI Umbro Intermediate Cup was made at FAI HQ, Abbotstown today (Tuesday, November 8).
All fixtures will be played weekending December 4.
