- Paul Mc Tiernan, legend in the first division.
- Wes Charles, my favourite player as a young lad, ya never forget your favourite player when your that age. Absolute gent aswell, never forgot Rovers.
- For third it would have been Raf but the whole Bohs affair soured it all a bit, then its between Connor O'Grady, Gerry Carr, Nicky Broujos and Harry Mc Loughlin. Cant really decide but McT and Wes are definites.

Other Clubs
- Paul Osam, not so much for his footballing abilities but for his dry wit, put him on MNS I say.
- Roddy "God" Collins, what an absolute hero, there should be statues of this man.
Cant think of a third at the minute, but will add one after more reflection, still will be hard following the Rodster.

He went for a season with Athlone there a few years ago and then came back for another season with us after that there about 2 or 3 years ago.
After that he pretty much retired, wasnt getting much game time and Cook didnt rate him.
Saw him play there a month or two ago in an end of season charity game in the Showgies with former players and current players playing each other and McT has still got it.
Pity he never made an impact in the premier division, I remember the first time I saw him play was for Boyle Celtic against Calry Bohs in a SLL Final and he was phenominal, scored something like 40 goals in a season for them.

Think it could have been over 50 goals he scored for Boyle that year in all competitions . My favourite player from the Don era. Pity Cook never liked him. :(

Didnt he get trials with a few English clubs when he was younger, Spurs I think.

Not sure, but I remember around 2003 there was interest from the "big clubs" back then in the LoI and a few in England. I remember Shels, Cork and apparently Harps when they were flying high in the 1st were interested.

It's not that Cook didn't rate him, it's that he was doing little or no training due to his other work commitments. Cook had no problem with him. He only came back to help us out as we were struggling for numbers at the time.

When he says "Paul's not a Premier Division footballer", I think that means he doesn't really rate him.

Mark Rutherford is a loi legend, great footballer in his day and showed one or two glimpses of it when he was with us, even though he was getting on. I dont know any decent footballing fan that would hold a grudge against him

yeah tom mohan is fai develpment officer in the northeast now
he appeared on the bench in the setanta cup up in the oval and never appeared again for us after gettin a serious injury..
