Yea I saw that but on the Malmo site (I dont speak Swedish but....) they mentioned Intertoto Cup, Cork City, then the words Fair Play and then St. Patricks.Quote:

Lads I had a chat with the club and they are wating on the draw to be made first and then they will make there plans for the away leg of what ever cup they will get into.
So how many people have actually booked anything at this stage?
I'd be reasonably confident of getting ok price for flights once know for definite as theres a huge amount of options when will do 1 stop over on the way thru europe or even regional uk airports...
Most people have AFAIK.Quote:

That would a total farce if it was played on a Thursday.
The only reason the Intertoto is worth entering is because the games are on at the weekend.
Have to tell him tomorrow!
its lousy on de lads that have already paid for the flights..im not sure if i was meant to say anything about it but i said id better post something before they change the date and then announce it..someone was talking to lennox at the u17s game last nite and he told him about it..
Well we'll have to talk to him and make sure he doesn't agree to anything so, too many of us have booked flights now at this stage for them to go changing it.Quote:

ok found out some more info...there's a festival on in malmo that weekend and there will be a problem with policing..obviously the police will be needed at this festival.think lennox suggested the friday but they cant play it that night cos i think sweden have an international game.
Would be much easier to get flights mid-week assuming you not booked for weekend already.
The Herald probably told them that we're Neo-Nazi's aswell and that they'll need to be on a high state of alert! ;)Quote:

. Try and travel to Copenhagen its easier - their is a train which runs 24 hours from Malmö to Copenhagen Airport which takes about 20 minutes and costs 85SEK (approx €9) one way. You cannot buy a return ticket unless you are using the return leg within 24 hours. There is a bus service from Malmö to Malmö Airport (Sturup) - takes 45 minutes and costs around €12 one way.
2. Their is a small but decent Irish pub in Malmö - Fagans. Apart from this there are not many decent pubs here. There is a place for outdoor eating and drinking which is really good if the weather is nice called Lillatorg (Small Square)you may prefer however to go out drinking in Copenhagen, especially the Globe (Irish pub), it will be cheaper to stay in Malmö, there are IBIS hotels in both Copenhagen and Malmö.
3. Its a big stadium with 27000 capacity, Malmo regularily get 20000 specatators but expect no more than 10000 for this one. Tickets for the game will probably cost 80 - 180 SEK - there is a very lonely spot for away fans.
4. Swedish police accept no crap.
5. A pint will cost anywhere between 45SEK to 55SEK - many places have happy hour between 1500 - 2000 where it costs considerably less. If you are drinking in Malmö I really do recommend fagans (www.fagans.se).
I will be glad to meet up with anyone for a beer before or after the game.

It also says Malmo is cheaper than Copenhagen, I was under the impression that it was the other way around. Both are quite expensive anyway by the sounds of it though.
from what i hear its exagerated. malmo is not as expensive as the bigger swedish citiesQuote:

Don't know of any festival in Malmo the weekend of the the match here in Malmo. It is a bank holiday weekend here though for midsummers - all the Swedes eating raw fish, drinking lots of shots , getting plastered , dancing around a giant pole thingy - Last year a crown I knew went skinny dipping in lake, seemingly not all that uncommon. That takes place on Friday evening, expect Malmo to be quiet enough in the pubs. Myself and a few friends will go to Copenhagen for a bit of a sesion, anyone here is welcome to come along.

He is but he isn't exactly prolific at the momet ; i think has has only scored twice this season. I'd be more worried about Tobias grahn or Afonso Alves right now.
we are stayin in copenhagen so pm me if ye wanna meet up for a few pintsQuote:
