Does anyone know when squad is being announced?
Brendan Clarke is the better keeper alright. Has an ankle problem at the moment and Quigley has played pretty poorly in his absence. Quigley is a great shot stopper but his handling has been pretty poor ever since he practically threw the ball into the net when we where playing shels last year. Loss of confidence since then. Clarkes handling and kicking has been much better and over all looks the more calm and assured keeper.
I'd say a few Derry players, but some of our best performers have been our youngsters (whole team! :p), like Shane and Patrick McEleney who are both in the U19 squad and James McClean (appears to be a NI U21). Ruairí Harkin could be a good shout. Think he's 20. He got a few U19 caps when he was at Charlton.
We're playing him on the right wing, and he's put in some excellent performances so far this season. So I'd loveQuote:
Do you really think Timmy Purcell, presumably in the role of striker, is even up to U23 standard?
to see him get a call up.
Sorry I forgot to mention this in the previous post.
A question for Fingal fans, how has Kenny Browne played for ye so far this season ?
Adalberto Pinto.
Shane Duggan is the main man down in Cork.
Top class player.

I'm delighted to hear that. Fletch is a fantastic player, and an absolute gentleman. I'd love to see him go on and have a super career.Quote:
Great. Wins everthing in the air and very little gets past him. Our best defender so far this season.
Thanks for the info Lamper.
Does anyone know if Paul Doolin has a management team for this gig? I presume he does, but they weren't announced at the time of his appointment if I recall correctly. Still no sign of squad being named. Would expect it by end of week considering game is on 3 weeks tomorrow.
Being announced on Thursday.
John McDonnell was part of the management team but since he took the Faroes role, he stepped down from this
Dooler was at Derry v Harps tonight
No word yet?
Probably forgot about it. Game is less than 3 weeks away sure!
Darren Quigley, Robert Duggan, Seamus Conneely, Garry Breen, Stephen Mulcahy, Kenny Browne, Conor Powell, Ian Bermingham, Ronan Finn, Greg Bolger, James Chambers, Stephen O’Donnell, Billy Dennehy, Ross Gaynor, Gary McCabe, Shaun Williams, Paul Byrne, Karl Sheppard, Padraig Amond, Paddy Madden.
Hard to believe Stephen O'Donnell is only 24 . . . and the fact that, seen as he is, he is in the U23 squad!!
Fair play to McCabe, deserves to be there.
Decent squad in fairness. Apparently David McAllister (Pats midfielder) has been told he's on stand by
No Bray players. I'm in shock.....;)
Bit surprised we've no defenders in there. Still, Greg's inclusion is well deserved.
Kenny Browne is the token 'local' player. How can players born in 1986 be eligible? Particularly those before May 1986, like O'Donnell!
The mistake was the ref's for the first yellow :p
Pretty strong squad altogether, no assistant manager decided yet and also has a few players on standby in case players get injured.
