Oh, and Thanked posts now add 1 point to your reputation. I wasn't sure what number to pick though, what does a standard rep add give you?

I have 89 points from 6 'reps'. It seems to depend on who 'reps' you.

I know you start with 10, and an admin rep gives you 10. Rep me there if you haven't already please, I'm currently at 144.

Oh, and I've increased the number of reps that appear in profiles, from 5 to 10.

On the other sites I'm on Thanks count as 1 rep point, my reasoning is

A.) People are more likely to hit the Thanks Button than rep
B.) You can Thank every post of a person, but as has been pointed out you can't just go around repping the same person, you have to "spread it around"

mine seem to go up in increments of 6... though it seemed to jump in 11's up to 100... really not sure.

The number it goes up depends on who Reps you. If someone with 1000 reps you you'll go up a lot more than if someone with 10 reps you. With Thanks no matter who you are the increment is the same. I'm not sure the Rep system is working because, honestly, if people were repping, yapster would have at least two red boxes next to his name by now.

Are there negative reputations? I didn't realise that.

Yep, when you click on the star the options are "I approve" or "I disapprove".

Is there a quick way to see which of your posts have gained rep?

On the top right of the page, click on "Settings". There's a list of the last 10 reps there.
