And due to it being each way rather than place betting, you'll have the losing "win" part of the bet so assuming they dont win the league you're only getting 15/1 on them coming 2nd or 3rd.

With UCD at 200/1 I'd love to see what they are at in the handicap markey.
Fingal are an absolute steal for the title!!!!
YOur odds don't represent your chances of winning. They represent the odds that PP (or JC_gufc) think will earn them the most money, with the least amount of risk.
If 50 Pats fans stick a tenner on Pats @ 12/1 and you're the only bloke sticking a tenner on UCD @ 200/1, the odds on Pats will go down. Regardless of who they sign
fair enough:o
still as i said further down the threat they have experienced and tallented well capable for this level and also have the ability to improve the squad damiticly if needs be and you never know what king of spport they could drum up if the get on a good start and the european games will raise their profile also
At this stage of the close season the odds are really a reflection on the expected squads each team will have.
Cork may be in a shambles at the minute but the fact is that very few of their players have signed for any other clubs so chances are they could have a majority of the squad that came 3rd last season.
UCD on the other hand have lost their best player and have virtually no buying power compared to the other Dublin clubs.
Even the situation at Bohs is a bit unclear and there's a chance that by the time the league starts Rovers will actually be favourites - or even Fingal!!!
They have added to there squad already with top notch signings like Brendan Clarke (St Pat's Ath) , well he'll be 2nd choice , Ronan Finn (UCD) Ger O'Brien (Derry City) and Kenny Browne (Waterford Utd) and will sign more before the start of the season! They will get ahead of sligo anyway!!!
Unlikely.
Out of the squad/team last year we've definitely lost
-Kevin Long
-Joe Gamble
-Colin Healy
-Neal Horgan
-Denis Behan
-Gareth Cambridge
-Guntars(thank god)
-Mezeckis(didnt play much)
Out of contract and known to be looking for other clubs
-Faz
-Shane Duggan
-Billy Dennehy
Out of contract
-McNulty
-Davin O Neill
In contract and looking for other clubs
-Dan Connor
In contract and rumoured to be wanted by other clubs
-Dan Murray
-Danny Murphy
In contract with no rumours
-Stevie Sideways
-Paul Deasy(young fella)
-Stephen Mulcahy(young fella)
I really dont see how anyone could think we'l have anywhere near the same squad/team as last year and we definitely have a much reduced budget.
I would'nt bet on any club yet. It's seven weeks before kick off. There could be a lot of
changes yet.Wait till the pre season matches start.
Pity there is no Handicap Betting on the league. Now that could be an interesting bet.
You can talk about it all you like. You couldn't see why pats were shorter than SLigo, so I told you.
I personally think Sligo look the best value for money at this stage (cue collapse of season for them :D) but an awful lot will depend on injuries, which in my opinion ruining their season last year.
Yet to see who shams sign and very early to be calling the League. Bohs have pretty much signed all they expect to sign (and a good lot it is too) but expect a massive scramble (with so many free agents) between now and March with one or two players picked up on the cheap having a great season.
I like the look of St Pats
I like the look of St Pats at 12/1 in Pp.I think theyve signed well
Ins
Brian Cash from Sligo - cracking little player on his day
David Mcallister from Shels-midfielder with eye for goals
Alex Williams from Dundalk-will get the goals
Conor Sinnott from Wexford-probably the best player in Div 1 the last 2 seasons
Paul Byrne from Bray-decent forward when with UCD
Derek Pender from Bray-resolute defender
Ian Bermingham from Rovers-left sided defender badly needed
These are just my opinions so Im having a few quid at 12s
