can't get out of a work "do" tonight so gonna miss out on this game + the possible beer/hot dog combo.
hopefully, the news of scully signing new contract will be have a positive impact in terms of players performance and a decent turnout.
Just back from the match and left before it was over...still two nil when i left...lasting memory will of the little scum bags scaling a wall and running across the pitch....maybe the lads who go everyweek can let us know does this happen often...i'm not saying anything abut the stewards cause i know its a tough job and when we were leaving the said scummers where throwing stones in the gates at them...Limerick palyed some great football at times especially through Shane Treacy in the first half and deservedly lead..Mervue offered nothing at all in the first half little better in the second
Limerick put together some great passages, especially in the first half of the match and were probably worth more than their two goals. They let it slip in the second and let a lifeless Mervue back in. In fairness, while good going forward, the back four were made look a lot better than they were, deflecting a toothless Mervue attack.
The penalty was a joke, as was the referee overall (playing advantage when there was none and staying silent when there was...).
But to answer your question: in the few Limerick games I've seen this year it's the first time I've seen them little scuts run across the pitch.
Enjoyed last nights game, some nice passages of play, well worth the win,but whats the story with the stewards (or lack of)from what i gather, club will be fined 750 euro for incursion by scum, stewards at games will have to at least look interested,or stay at home!
I mentioned it after the Longford game. Stewards are a disgrace. That said, they couldn't have done much about the pitch incursion last night...
Perhaps some barbed wire on the walls is in order ;)
Well in fairness to prevent them doing it they weren't in the best position. That's their own fault, though. That they use the matches as little meetings rather than actually events for them to steward.
a win is a win mind you it was not hard to win, mervue no better than a group of.....juniorballers.....still its stopped our poor run.as for the little scumbags dont get me started.
the problem lads with the little scum getting into the ground is the station wall. They took down barbed wire fencing on top of the wall and all hell can just get into the ground whenever they like. everyone ring colbert stn this week and ask what they are going to do about scum (A) being on their property on friday nigts and (B) when are they putting the fence back. The acting station manager is actually on the ldmc so you should get an ear anyway. colbert stn is 061 315555
i brought thesix year old nephew to this game it was his first time ,he loved it and he can't wait till we play Liverpool :) lol
he thought it was great to be so close to the action
In my opinion this is the way to get more in the the gate go for the young kids make it a family evening out
with 260 odd at the match why not give out hundreds of tickets to the schools to let the kids in for free but the aduilt has to pay i'm sure the parernts can be nagged into going?
we might get a few more at the matches
i
Great first half in particular, nice passing along the deck at times. Hopefully more of the same against Athlone this Friday night.
Weird scenario for the first goal: I was sitting about four rows from the front in the right section of seats. Lots of free seats behind, and only three free seats in the row I sat. Three people come along, take their absolute sweet time walking in front of me, and subsequently missed the goal going in. Where's the big screen when you need a replay... :(
They've tried that already, anyone remember the Waterford game early in the season? Over 1000 at the game, absolute nightmare! kids running around, playing tag and general messin, annoying the real fans no end.Check out the threads on the game on this forum.Bedlam it was! In the long run they never came back in the numbers and if the club persisted they would loose the die hard fans that are there week after week.
Monkfish is this one of the rejects or one of the ones that wasn't even good enough to be a reject?
Dont care about monkfish and doubt he cares about me just dont like sad little men that come on here just to have a go at the club and then when it couldn't have been made any clearer your attitude towards the club you still try and deny it.Only asked monkfih because he knows a lot the people on this. How many times have you said things like i'll leave it at that and cheerio and yet your still back hours later? Think obsessed bitterhead was a perfect description.
Only bandwagon thats been jumped on is the juniorballers 'lets go on to the Limerick forum and release our inner rage with our attitude problem' by you.
Personally iv nothing better to do on breaks at work other than to reply to people like this but others cant be bothered and probably dont even read the posts.
