some save from Shay Given from Jones as well, and includes Keogh's shot off the bar

Also, I read this on West Ham's site
Quote:
Zola, who confirmed that Dean Ashton was "still doing his rehabilitation" on his long-term ankle problem, said Kieron Dyer had sat out with "tightness in his muscle" and should be OK for Blackburn Rovers away on Saturday. Valon Behrami and Terry Dixon are also set to train fully later this week meaning the only other absentees are Herita Ilunga (jaw) and the long-term Luis Boa Morte (knee), while Savio has been unwell this week. Regardless of the squad situation, the manager felt his side more than held their own against expensively-assembled opponents who have also seen off Liverpool and Hull City this season. "That was the most encouraging thing and that's what I told the players. We matched them in everything they did.

Hi I have been asked a few times about Patrick and how he is getting on ( he is my nephew) so i thought I would update people.
Patrick played for the under 21's and is currently playing for FC Berlin who were promoted last year to the second division in the Bundesliga and are currently top of the division. He is a regular player for them and enjoying his football. He has very fond memories of playing for Ireland and follows the teams progress and has been to see as many matches as he can.
A young guy named Kieran Murtagh scored for Yeovil yesterday and there are a few different sites saying he is a "British born Irish" footballer. Anyone know anything about him?

Where did you hear that Robbie?
I freelance in London and got a call from an Irish fan telling me about Bunn. I have previously tipped off the FAI about English born players who are eligible for Ireland.
This fan, who grew up watching Bunn play for Northampton thought he would go on to be a top keeper and asked me to contact the FAI. Not sure if they checked up on him.
Great stuff man, doubt the Fai will do a thing until its too late.

Ciaran Clarke made premiership debut last week for the Villa. Father is from just outside Letterkenny in Co. Donegal, Grandmother lives in Letterkenny area, currently captain of England u21 team. Would be class addition to Ireland ranks
http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/PlayerPro...~46006,00.html
I can't see him declaring for Ireland after captaining the England u-21 team. Villa wouldn''t let him, for one! English players are worth more on the transfer market for no apparent reason.
