Glentoran get maccabi haifi
Of course they have a chance - even if it is small :D.
Looking at the positives Bohs have been drawn against a team in their off-season and they are playing away from home first.
Nasty. No chance and a long way to go.Quote:

Nice trip for fans too
Janko will probably get a couple of hat-tricks against Bohs
Didn't know Vonlanthen plays for Salzburg.
Edit - didn't know he was Colombian either.
Janko will be long gone by the time that game happens.
Europa League will be here

Can he be long gone in three weeks' time?
was in salzburg last summer at euro2008. lovely city and excellent infrastructure. bohs will love it, especially for a few days. excellent irish pub along the river but never saw an irish person behind the bar:D. ryanair fly direct to it also and ya fly over the stadium when landing.
So basically they have put the most westerly team and the most easterly team in Europe, that are in the competition, in the same group. ffs
Its not the worst draw for Bohs. Looking at the team there are a few Bundesliga rejects playing for them so they would be a fairly ordinary outfit apart from Janko.
It's a tough draw for the stage they're at. Also, Salzburg have Red Bull's millions behind them.
Here's their European record. Not great by any means, but they're very efficient against the lower echelons.
I see what you mean but looking at their squad they seem to make a lot of changes to their team each season and although they do have Red Bull's millions behind them the only players they do attract are form the Czech and Slovak leagues and a few players from the lower placed German Bundesliga.
for travel hell, imagine going to Atkobe, Kazakhstan from iceland for that champions league qualifier
It was the only reason. The original proposal was to exchange Kazakhstan for Azerbaijan, in the end UEFA retained both.
It's an awful draw for us. Artificial pitch to boot, loads of money pumped in by Red Bull. They were one of about 3 or 4 I didn't want to get so gutted really. Only positive is we're home second leg. If we win we'll be the highest ranked non seeded team again so of all the bigger teams in it it was a bad one from that point of view as well. At least they're winter football and we're home 2nd leg I suppose.
Plus you have to give money to Red Bull Salzburg.
They split the seeds up into pots so basically the top 8 seeds are seperated, then the next 8 go into those pots, then the next 8 etc etc
So you could have a pot with one fo the 8 seeds, one of the 9-16, one of the 17-24, one of 25-32, and one of the 33-40 and so on.
Thats the way it was for us in the first round last year, and it looks that way here
red bull - tough draw. hardly a european force but they would be a different class to bohs. cant see them progressing.
Draw started:

Great stream actually. makes a change frmowatching live blurry Eurosport in previous years.
Assume we don't know when they get to Sligo's pot?
Vlaznia
Albania it is...
Edit - that's not too bad logistically. Assuming they play in Shkoder, it's almost on the border with Montenegro. Fly to Dubrovnik and drive, or fly via Vienna to Podgorica.
Shroder.
They will love it. Its not the capital for a start.
Plenty of different routes to get there aswell.
i thought it wasnt starting until 1330 CET?
So much for 12 f'n 30.
Wen't to pee and and its already done.
Distillery off to Georgia.
albanian's will be tough enough id say. napoli beat them 8-0 over 2 legs last season. hard to know really.
After they'd knocked out a Slovenian side though. Another tough draw.
(Those Bert Kassies links don't work. Go to his site and click on search; it'll show up their European history, excluding the TotoToto Cup.)
At least it's not Kazakhstan!
Randers v Linfield ...... Danish Trip..
Two Albanian sides due to play at home on 09th July (mid-week) in the second leg. I don't know if this is enough to make a change to the home ties as they have been drawn though..
