:D was wondering the same myself, and also why we are supposed to like him...? Respect him, yes.

The Dark Knight
Im waiting for someone to list, stupid lists about things we dont like on the internet ..........
Ah balls
Michael Parkinson's talk show
The Commitments the movie (books excellent - movie rubbish)
Some Like It Hot -cringeingly unfunny
Scarface
BTW just in case we come across as complete cynics, next thread will be "Stuff that officialdom doesn't like but is better than people think"
Ross O Carroll Kelly (since the move to the IT)
fair city and is bad acting
friends its not funny
most muck on tv3 especially nightly news with Vincent brown
q&a on rte nobody cares
Irish version of dragons den it will never be as good as the UK version and who are the people on it?
arm chair fans
people who think their real supporters by watching the likes of man U on sky
Seinfeld. There are a bunch of US comedies that fall totally flat for me; Seinfeld is king of that hill.
I hate it when a person behind the bar drops a glass and everyone starts cheering.
Wayne World - two jokes, the Statrway to Heaven one and the Scooby doo on the rest was drivel
Austin Powers - one trick pony and a not particurily funny pony
Rock School - Jack Black with crap rock, cute kids
Cloverfield see my previous posts regarding this particular beauty
The Lynx ad with the cavemen, it was good at first but its shown far to much everyday on every channel.
The Ting Tings: Apparently there the next big thing but there music is to annoying if you ask me.
Scrubs: People I know find this funnier than shows like Father Ted, once or twice they crack a good joke but other than that I dont anything on it remotely funny.
Cadbury ad: Just like the Lynx ad, was good at first but got old because it was being shown way too much (but none of those ads could be worse than the airport one.)
and too top the list....
Andrew Maxwell: Really, what is actually funny about this man ? not once have I laughed at something "funny" he said, he was awful on that rte show, cant remember the name of it, think it was smoke & mirrors or something like that.
Top Gear - I would rather watch Top Cat, cars/petrol heads bore the tits of me and their only social skill is turning any conversation around to cars. Men choose between sport or music or cars/bikes - sometimes one, often two never met anybody who was really into all three.
Bang on. I'd rather be stuck in a lift with Roddy Collins for 20 minutes than watch Top Gear. Absolute effing twits, all 3 of them. I went to see Leinster play on the day this was filmed in Dublin, couldn't believe the queues to get in and watch those eejits yabber on about cars that 99% of the audience will never even test drive.
Sunday papers
...easy enough Bennocelt. It's a peak time show about a utility item I'm glad to find I'm not alone in considering mundane and functional. Why not have a top gear style show about latest developments in toilet bowls? washing up brushes?Quote:
dont understand how anyone could hate this show
Another one for the list...
Desperate Housewives.
Sex and the City (although that is an easy one because of the chickishness)
These are just the ones that other people have already said that I agree with:

I think some people have missed the point of this thread and are just naming stuffnthey hate now...
Those are a bit bizarre Mr Maroon. Care to elaborate?
...and just to raise the pressure...
you have 24 hours.
Answers better be good ...especially about LOI first division -coming from a Galway United supporter. Or has Galway claiming it's place amongst the "elite" of the mid to lower premier put you off it?
Kings of Leon.
Don't actually hate them, but I do think they're seriously overrated
1) "That Canadian women from Today FM" is Alison Curtis i think. Her show is supposedly very popular but I can't stand her or it.
2) Ireland national team. I'm supposed to like it because I'm Irish and I like football but I don't have any strong feelings about it. I can't remember watching any Ireland matches before the 02 world cup and I've barely watched a full one since. I'm just really not bothered with it.
3) Paolo Maldini I have some respect for I suppose but i certainly don't "like" him as the title of the thread says. There seems to be a "he's a legend, everybody loves him" attitude among some people. Nobody ever has anything bad to say about him despite the quality of some of his performances in the last decade or so of his never ending career.
I don't dislike him as such but I don't hold him in the high esteem that some many people do.
4) LOI First Division. I don't like it when my team is in it and I certainly can't stand it when my team isn't in it. Being honest, the standard of football is dreadful.
As a LOI fan I'm expected to defend all aspects of the league. Sure, I love the Premier but the First is just a graveyard.
THese answers could be a bit rambling and not make much sense if any but bare in mind that they were written at 20 to 3 in the morning. I might edit them at another time when I can make more sense
mid to lower? We're top! :pQuote:

Lost track of the number of times people assume because I am from Cork that I know or care about the County teams.
This thread has lost the plot alright.
Since when are you 'supposed to like' junk mail or Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em?
I like Off Topic , but it is actually turning into rubbish
This should be changed to 'The Whinging Bitches Thread'.
Never read so much crap on this site.
Possibly a bit controversial:
Being considered celtic because I am from Ireland
I recall the big "Aren't we all Celts and aren't we all great" thing that started off in about 1994/95 and reached it's apex in around 1999. Everyone banging on about "our" lively culture, how everyone loves "us", how the whole world thinks the sun shines out of "our" @r$e - gah.
Well, actually, I descend on one side pretty strongly from the Normans, and I feel that side stronger than the "mad" stereotype that is being celtic. Nothing wrong with being celtic, but must I be more celtic than norman? Screw that for a game of motte and bailey.
I also feel a stronger connection with being a South Easterner, a European and even as a non-religious ethnic Catholic than with being Irish.
That's an interesting one. I have a dislike of being labelled "European". For whatever reason, I have a very clear distinction in my mind between continental Europeans and us islanders (including the Brits). And you can find Normans, Germans and Celts in my family history if you go back far enough.
Celtic football club.
