Ive just bought my season ticket tonight. Im sure i was the 2579th to BUY one :D
My Shels ticket was 133. And judging by the sheet at the game on Friday we got near enough to 200 sold I'd say.
How much are Shamrock Rovers charging for a Season Ticket?

Well I got mine on Friday night before the game and I'm number 449 and that on the adult ticket.
There should be a lot more than that sold when you consider it is on €99 per season ticket and €49 for a child's season ticket. I was considering getting one for the little lad but not sure whether I'll bother.
As per www.dundalkfc.com we sold our 650th season ticket prior to the game v Bohs.
We seem to be great at even ending numbers, same for attendances !
This was a season record figure, even during the glory days of the 70`s + 80`s, no more than 400 were ever sold.

The GAA have season tickets this season. These guarantee an All Ireland final ticket if your team reach the final. They were 75 euro for the first 8 games of national league and championship and a good seat at each game. You then pay extra for further rounds to the GAA final. Seems very cheap and a great deal for GAA fans.

I have the GAA sales season ticket figures as of January 13th approx 6 weeks into an 8 week sales cycle. There probably was a late surge but despite a limit of 250 there was clearly no urgent demand. A couple more soldout as the start of their season approached.
Now allowing for Dublin and Tyrone being a sellout the demand seems much less in many cases than the equivalent LoI club. I understand from a colleague that Dublin soldout immediately leaving many disapponted.
Now most of those listed below will be playing to huge crowds this summer. This backs up the theory that so many Irish sports fans are event junkies.

My point is that the sales of these tickets would indicate the demand is there for the big events. It's the same for all the sports in this country. The problem for our league is none of our games fall into the "event junkie" category. Then again maybe it's not a problem and many of today's fans would resent hugely any bandwagon jumpers.
The FAI Cup Final used to be a huge event.

Actually for once I'm not sure if the GAA made a good job of promoting this. I regularly go to Galway GAA games and this is the first I've heard of there being a GAA season ticket. Plus there is no culture of season tickets in GAA so I imagine it will take a while to sink in.Quote:

As much as i don't like Shams its great to see them in the shape they are in. Selling 2,000 season tickets and rising. Its only good for the league and the way they are going about their business is great to see. They are a model for the Drogs, Corks, etc, of this league.
Season ticket sales generated €156,608 last season.
At an average cost of €180 that works out at 850 / 870 approx

I'm sure that figure has to include a lot more than ordinary season tickets-there is no way we sold anywhere that amount.You will find it includes the famous 10 year deal tickets plus maybe something else as well.
Probably does but only i think there was only 15 of them sold, it was a low number anyway.
