Sad as it is, it really looks like it's gonna be Derry at this stage. The once proud Candystripes looked only a shadow of their former selves. They were pathetic against City last Friday and though it was only 1-0 we had enough chances to win 3 games. They're totally lacking in confidence, and I just can't see how they'll turn it around with time running out.Quote:

:rolleyes: What game were you watching....i was pretty sober and thought we deserved a point in Cork....We missed 3 /4 perfectly good chances too remember....im not hiding the fact we are bottom of the league and in serious bother but i do expect us to survive this.......if we beat Rovers on thursday its all to play for.....we would be only 2 points of the Drogs with 2 games left.

Even Derrys home form is abismal the last few months.
Derry have to win at least 1 from last 3 games to even have a hope of surviving for the playoff. I'd say Derry favourites for the drop even if its a playoff as the pressure will only continue.

All i know is that if CCFC were in the same situation moral would be abismal & the pressure from the home support intense.

Needing a win in waterford would be a great situation.
UCD could win at Pats on friday (they seem to normally get good results there & Pats are in bad form) so could be over before the last day of the season.
