On what basis are you saying Carr was overpaid ? Any why was he the first to be overpaid?

Kinnear dismissed that earlier today, saying that he had enough fullbacks returning from injury.

Then he got injured and missed Irelands first major championships in 8 years and when he came back from his injury he became an ordinary EPL-class RB. Instead of one of the best young players in Europe in his position. Of course he should be grateful that he could still play at such a high level for the next 6 years but after his breakthrough at Spurs he probably had much bigger plans. I agree he appears to be a grumpy ****** but it is sort of understandable.

Stephen Carr was never the same player after his injury.
It must be hard to take as a player when you know better than anyone what might have been.
