Theres a train to Olso from Sandefjord station which is about 10 mins bus trip
from Torp. Takes about 1 hour 45min and costs around €25 return according
to Norways train website.

Myself and a mate booked yesterday. As it's a mid-week game we're just doing a two night trip. We fly out on SAS on Tuesday the 19th and fly back on Ryanair on Thursday the 21st. We're staying here http://www.perminalen.no/. All in it's about €250 each for flights and accommodation. Happy enough with that.
too close to the fixtures for the WC qualifiers for me...maybe if it wasnt Oslo, 11 euro a pint ffs..
can I get this trip passed the missus?! Who we play away in September will have a bearing on it. 11 euros a pint is also putting me off. We needed some cheapo eastern european venues for the friendly games!!!
You're not the first person to mention this so it's time it was addressed! Take a look at the bottom of the link below for a guide on beer prices
http://use-it.unginfo.oslo.no/sider/...ife.php#prices
While I have no doubt there a plenty of places in Oslo only too willing to charge €11 a pint, it looks from this link as though there are also plenty of places that charge around €6 a pint. I know this is more expensive than here but it will only work out about €40 or €50 more expensive than if you went on a two day session in Dublin.
tbh it's actually not really more expensive than Dublin city centre. You're paying over €5 in a lot of places at the weekends in Dublin and you might as well round that off to €6 as my change goes to very little use. :)
Flight from Stanstead Wed Morn 6.30 4.99 Stg
Flight from Torp to Dublin on the Thursday 11e
just noticed this fixture on fotball.no - and I'm extremely intrigued on this one.
I should actually be 85% definite for this one if things go to plan as hopefully I'll be living in Oslo by then.
Cracking city - been going there every year for a couple of weeks at a time for the past ten years or so - so I have pretty good knowledge of the place and it's spots.
I pay about 35 NOK - 48 NOK for a beer when there - depending on location of the bar and the time of day (some bars reduce their prices to about 35 NOK during the day, then ramp it up to the 45 NOK mark later on in the evening).
Stadium is a compact arena that affords a decent matchday experience - the outside of the stadium has shops, bars and pizza places built into it - so food and that can be gotten before and after the game - plus the public transport is all integrated and a very good standard (I've never known a tram or underground service to be late in Oslo)
The bus service from Torp is decent enough as well - and fairly cheap - but then again it seems expensive to us outsiders. The wage levels and such are of a proportional amount...
Anyone who needs info and such - feel free to PM me or stick queries in this thread.
May as well open a thread for this one too - thinking of going as Montenegro is a bit awkward timewise for me.
So, you know what to do...
Well I booked Ryanair Dublin to Oslo heading out Monday coming back Thursday. Got it for 66 euro inc taxes. Dont have the hotel sorted yet.
I'll do up a summary page as well in due course, but the game's in the Ullevaal I think; Valerenga are at home on the Sunday if anyone's still around then. The train journey from Oslo to Bergen is supposed to one of the most spectacular in the world, but it takes seven hours to cover 100 miles!
Ryanair Olso is miles and miles and miles away; Scandanavian Airlines fly direct from Dublin to Olso, which is merely miles away. Can also fly into Goteborg.
Just to clarfiy Ullevaal is in Oslo, or just on the outskirts. The way your post reads its somewhere near Bergen.
OK, so Olso Gardemoen (airport) is the closest to the city centre and the ground is in Ullevaal which is a suburb of Oslo. So, I can easily stay in Oslo city centre and travel to the game by local public transport. Oslo Torp, the Ryanair airport, is 100km+ away from the city.
Am I correct?
