Andy Polewczak, who used to be with us (and who I've surely spelt wrongly) is now with Kilkenny I'm sure. He is Polish.
I'm also pretty sure that he's the lad that got a rather hefty 8 match ban for something (spitting IIRC) either the beginning of this season or the end of last. So some 'equilibrium' issues with him then?
They were right

For the Pats goal, did the shot take a deflection on its way in?
Nope.
There have been Polish players in the league before recent times. Back in the 1970's Piotr Suski played I think for Athlone Town. Someone out there may know better than I. Under Communism, professional soccer players were allowed go abroad to earn foreign currency once they were 28 or 29 in Poland and a few other Eastern Bloc states.
I believe Stefan Fenuik while not actually born in Poland might well have been eligible to play for them, and that's just two.
We had Piotr Badjaik here at the start of the season but he got a bad injury and went home .I think he could have been a good player for us too , shame.
What makes you say that, he never played a minute for us! This at a time when anyone could get a game by turning up to training and hanging around for a bit.
Saw him play 90 (I think, certainly 45) against CY in the Irishtown stadium. Notable only for his woolen gloves (surely Poland is colder?!)
BTW just heard that Ray Murray past away today. Sad news. Was a lovely fella.
