Not getting at you but 30-40 is a bad crowd for a team who is challenging for promotion. I know people find it hard to travel because of work, family etc. but surely a bus should be organised for all our remaining away games. Dundalk will bring more than that down with them next week. The team always respond to the supporters and it would be great to have a decent travelling support like the day we went to Dundalk.
yes we all have an opinion but it just so happens that in relation to Carey everyone else's opinion seems to disagree with your opinion, does this not tell you something. I was at Harps game, do you not realise that we were missing 3 key players(from the smallest squad in the league) as opposed to Harps who were at full strength and had 3000 fans behind them. Stop knocking players, ive seen it first hand at games home and away this season players being abused by rams fans, if fans get behind them it will give them that little bit extra
Of course i know how hard it will be, and i do know all that will be required next year, and i couldnt fault anything at the club at the moment, bar the off field antics, which dont matter to me until AGM, or EGm's, its all pathetic IMO, football and the team is my No.1 priority. "we could not live with them how we escaped with one conceded is beyond me", -bull****, straight out, we could have easily won the game, harps fans even said that, its all ifs and buts here f course, but if we scored the peno, got the second peno, if the linesman didnt give the freekick against John Meade....., i seriously dont know where your getting the idea we cant cope with finn harps, we've beaten them twice this season drew one and lost one, and your judging us on the game we lost, I dont think Stephen Henderson will be asking his players next year to cope with the like of Harps, he'll be wanted win and accepting good draws away from hme possibly, but if it is rams and harps go up, harps will be a must win, we should have beaten derry this year too, Look how close we were to Rovers last year, my point is we dont have to cope with harps if we get promoted,we beat harps, if you dont think were good enough to challenge or "cope" then we've a major difference in opinion on the level of ability of the team.
Correct my point is though when Davin, Mucky Murray etc play bad they dont haveb to put up 1/10th of the **** Alan Carey puts up with and John Meade to to a lesser extent. It all goes back to the typical comment Pick up a RB on the way" Carey might want to stop the bus to pick up somebody who'll support him and the team on the way too. :)
Well seen as though i cant get anyone to agree wit my bias opinions i reacon we should win this by at least 3,all depends on weather dav is fit to partner the ever improving workhorse cummins,its actually disgraceful theres no bus goin.:(shame really
Must say marty you have valid points there,espcially when you say we would need a big injection of cash..think that would be one of the main cosencus of opinion among the supporters..dont know if the people who were supposed to become directors are still around or not,but without people to inject money into the team we are in a no win situation..dont know how we would finance a premier div team,as this year the crowds have been poor when we are top of the league.imagine what it would be like if we were bottom..
Well it is a friday maybe not suited we"ll see the loyalty when we get there,on a saturday i"d prop fill a 24 seater with fellas i know and none of these were in dundalk a bus should at least be an option anyway.The main worrie i have bout not gaining promotion is keeping the squad with city wathin our every move theres a business we cant compete with financially.
shut up about money, money, money, money, were not up yet so it not a concern yet, worry about it when it comes up, some people who want money now didnt want the directors a few months ago, make a decision and stick with it, if you're that concerened, well just go back to MSL, and save for a few years,
finances wont be in for a few months so dont bother with this stuff now,
5 games to go thats priority one not money,
winning.
Lads I think kickoff is at 7.30 and not 8pm as advertised
100-120 from cobh there thats fairly good. apparently great night too. tore them apart with one touch football and 7 goals? thats just brilliant
great stuff lads well done, would be nice to do it against dundalk, am i asking to much:D
congrats lads :ball::ball:
dont think you are, dont think any team would fancy having to play away against a team that have just set the eircom league record for an away victory. With the good work of Marco and the way the team are playing there should be a massive crowd next sat and as we saw with harps a big crowd behind a team can only spur them on.
Dont think that was a pop at you its just the cobh public have not witnessed first hand the attractive style of football we play so its hard to get them in the gate,surely after next week we can get 1500 in and show off the stand the football will take care of itself,on last nights match we were outstanding all the way through gonna be hard to get dav and battett bak in to the team i reacon we can take dundalk lets hope harps will slip along the way.
well i thought it was well worth the trip, played very well. i think limericks behaviour is a disgrace, they are so petty its sad. the talk is that they didnt play up to 7 first team players, and played u21's. thats mcGee all out, hes bitter over the last minute winner a few months ago, when he accused us of being a long ball side after L37 spent the whole second half of that game lying on the ground trying to slow the game up,and then we punished them, dundalk did the exact same thing and they too got punished. all the teams come to cobh to disrupt and dont even attempt to play, with all their talk.
they should get pulled up for that if its definitley true. anyway, once again well done to the ramblers for a great performance.
