Didn't realise you were a conspiracy theorist too, Pete.;)

Cheers for the lesson in what "they" were/are
What i said was "they" were involved you cant deny that. As Fulton said himself he was involved in making bombs he would then pass on the information to MI5 and they would decide whether to act on it or let the bomb through.
was walking through heathrow after just arriving from shannon when the news started to break about glasgow. Within minutes there were armed cops everywhere but everyone kept calm and kept going there own way. I felt awful nervous though it has to be said as I went down to the tub connect for an hours journey to the brothers house, watching everyone as if they were all suspects!
I know the feeling - I travelled ot Stansted the day after the September 11th attack on the US - things were mental.
Eventually, however, I realised that there was a real change in the way things were, partiuclarly from an Irish perspective - We aren't the bad guys anymore. IRA bombings had eased off significantly by then, and the Irish are not seen as being scrounging ingrates (thanks Daily Mail:rolleyes:). In fact, we were the de rigeur accessory item for many at the time.
It is dreadful to say it, but it is true.
I arrived back yesterday evening, from Mumbai, into Heathrow Terminal 4 and was kept on the runway for 2 hours waiting for a parking slot. Upon eventually entering the building, and struggling through the hoardes queing for passport control, I arrived into the Baggage Reclaim area to see a seething ( and some Americans were! ) mass of humanity waiting for hours for luggage.
I left the airport at 2 a.m. (5.5 hours after landing ), minus my case, with thousands of people bedding down on the floor.
The ironic thing was that there were literally hundreds, possibly thousands of abandoned cases all over the Luggage Hall........all this due to ONE UNATTENDED PACKAGE!:(
Is it just me or is there an obscene amount of people being arrested in connection on the flimsiest of evidence??
Has "Any Paddy will do" been replaced by "Any Paki will do" ??
yes 8, incuding the two at Glasgow airport, 5 others in the UK and 1 in Oz.
I'm interested to know who you all will blame, when Islamic extremists strike in Ireland. The British secret service, in a bid to get us to buy second hand surveillance equipment off them?
The Americans, in order to convince us to turn Shannon into a military installation, for their use?
Or perhaps Bertie Ahern, in order to divert attention from his personal finances.
As long as there are enough delusional conspiracy theorists, making excuses for extremists, terrorism will continue to thrive.
Ironically, it's the freedom afforded to you by a democratic western society, that allows you to show such contempt for the security forces who protect you.
