Yes, I found him playing at SC Astra Ploieşti during the 05-06 season.

Here's their last season results on rsssf. Knocked out in the fifth round of the Cup (the stage they entered) by a lower league team, and relegated from Divisia B Serie 2 (think it's like Division Two South). There seem to have been just three Divisions 2.

I notice as well that if you don't get x number of points in a season, you get docked points for the next year. Going to try and work that one out and it'll feature in a future match programme anyway. Might even ask Bogdan for a bit of help!

Oprea is a common enough surname in Romania. I told a Romanian friend of mine that we had a player called Opera from her country. Her response was'' I think you will find it is Oprea''. :D

Fair enough, explains why the only google results for "Bogdan Opera" were relating to him being at UCD. The College Tribune interview has the same misspelling too so, you'd think he'd have told them. :D
